It always makes me wonder how a player like Tony Jefferson goes undrafted.

Todd Bowles made this work

He made the adjustments and has this D working without a big pass rush

He's badass.

For the 3rd straight game we allow 0 points in the 4th quarter.

We played more zone in the first half, possibly to keep an eye on Kaepernick, but switched to man with pressure the 2nd.

We hold SD to 17 pts, the Giants and 9ers to 14.

No matter what people say we have to be one of the top defenses in the NFL.

And in points allowed I'd say we lead the league.

All this with little pass rush.

Can you imagine us with an edge rusher that can put constant pressure on the QB?

So, I think I'm starting to get a handle on how Horton's defense works, and why we will never be happy with our OLB situation. I'm trying to come up with a post on it, but it is becoming more glaring the more I see what he is doing\, but it is hard to verbalize.

It's absolutely incredible what this team has been able to do on D after losing so much (and I think Dock is a HUGE loss along with Honeybadger and Dwash). Just incredible.

(That's not mentioning the offense winning 2 games with a backup QB. This is a very well coached team)

I can't talk about DWash anymore though. He basically said screw his teammates and screw the fans, I don't care about hosting our own SB. That's what he did. He's dead to me now.

Todd Bowles is a defensive god. His second half adjustments are legendary. I don't watch games any more wondering how we're going to lose.
Todd makes the adjustments, and I feel so confident, that we are going to win out. Such a change from years past.

Did anyone notice the field day Crabtree had with that out-route early in the game? Then finally Cromartie jumped one and almost had a pick 6 and the niners never tried it again.

Cards were playing zone for a majority of the first half and played mostly man in the second half. That is a big part of why their offense fell apart in the 2nd half.
