I will say it right now...

If Vince Young wins a national title, he will come out and he will be the #1 draft pick by the Houston Texans.

Does that mean we can trade for David Carr ?

That would rock!

WAIT! So the Texans could pick a Young and give us a chance at Carr, or they can pick Bush, and give us a chance at Dominic Davis.

WOW! That is sweet!

I can't believe they are going to waste a draft pick on a defensive coordinator.

I could live with Mario Williams at ten. Even though we would lose out on the top 3 QB's. There are a few other sleepers to be had in round 2 or three.

Carr is due about 8 mill in roster bonus MArch 15th. So Carr will be cut not traded if Houston wants to go another direction. No need to trade for him.

Detroit won't take a qb in round one. Mario Williams will not fall to 10. Cutler will be there at 10 but will the Cards take him??.

Cutler Had Better Not Be Drafted At #9!!!

If he's for real we all KNOW he'll be picked 9th, that's the curse of being a Cardinal fan.

How would people feel if the Cards traded down a bit? The way I see it, they could get a player or two, plus go down a few slots and get Lendale White. Hopefully creating a thunder and lighting backfield w/ Arrington in the future. I think I'd be happy w/ something like that.

A little sick to my stomach, then I might get the saliva going on the mouth the way you get when you're going to puke, but I could probably choke it down for a few minutes until the nausea passed. Then I'd seize up like an epileptic playing Super Nintendo.

So, I'd like it if they stayed at #10.

I only suggest trading down because to me it seems like the Cards are more than one player away from being in the playoffs. We need help on the Oline, at RB and a QB of the future. By trading down a bit in the first round, we can probably get two of those pieces instead of just one.

Why would we draft a DE in the first round?? Does this guy have a clue what our needs are? I know we want to draft best available player, but I can't believe we'd draft this way.

This is about the 4th draft board that have us taking this DE from NC State. What is this all about.

Depends on what we do in FA and how many holes we can fill. Also depends on who is left when we pick. Depending on those 2 things I would be very happy with Williams and moving Okeafer to another role on the team already discussed in another thread, dont feel like typing it again. Also if Mario Williams is still there at 10 you better believe that there will be a trading bidding war to get him.

I sort of agree with you. I would at this time take White or Cutler but could change my mind after the experts express their opinions as the draft nears.

He's a phenomenal talent, typically pass rushing DE's come into the NFL between 250 and 260 and have to bulk up, Williams is already 6'7" 285 to 290 and a great athlete. He's got things he has to improve on of course, all young players do, but he figures to be more NFL ready than the typical DE because of his size.

He's on a list of about 5-6 guys who I'd absolutely consider taking if they were there at 10.

Having Mario Williams there at #10 would be like having Julius Peppers at #10. Calvin Pace has contributed nothing as an Arizona Cardinal except as an on-field and off-field embarassment. His "production" could easily be replaced by Antonio Smith. You don't pass on a player of Willams' talent. Personally, I'd be doing backflips if the Buffalo Bills and Lions were idiotic enough to pass on him.

Slightly OT, but why isn't Poslusnsky listed as an underclassman? Didn't they say last night that he has a year of eligibility left?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cleveland take Tamba Hali with their pick. Yeah, he's a tweener, but those are the kinds of players that Romeo Crennell loves. I think that he's going to go shooting up draft boards as the after-season progresses.
