This weekend while channel surfing I came across Stealing Harvard with the guy from My Name is Earl, and Tom Green. I have to ask, does anybody else "get" Tom Green? Does anybody understand why he keeps getting work in movies and tv?

He's like that bald guy that used to be on Letterman years ago, Chris something or other, except not as funny, and that guy rarely made me laugh.

Is he related to someone in the industry, is this fallout from his marriage to Drew Barrymore? I suppose I could post a similar thread about Pauly Shore's career.

Just like Chris Elliott (the Letterman guest), I like Tom Green in very small doses. That's why I think he's best as a talkshow guest or for a short "skit" here and there.

90 minutes of him? Ugh.

It does seem as if his 15 minutes are up, though (and probably long-past due).

We should write him and ask him, he personally responds to most e-mail on his website. His movie, Freddie Got Fingered is so horribly bad but for some reason I can't help but watch it if it's on.

Elliott had that show years ago where he was a 30 something year old living with his parents and he was a paperboy. There were maybe 2 funny shows, then they ran out of material and that was it.

I just have never seen Tom Green in anything where he didn't ruin it, I could never figure out how he got the MTV show, and then he starts getting into movies.

Get a Life with REM doing the Theme Song, I loved that show. BTW, Chris Elliot started out as a camera man on Letterman and they worked him into bits because he was kinda funny

Chris Elliott's best line ever: "Brett Favre? What are you doing here?"

Also, my wife and I honeymooned in the Bahamas at the same place Tom Green and Drew Barrymore did--just a few weeks later. The only reason I know this is they signed the guestbook.

Tom Green is not funny to me... but then Napoleon Dymnamite is right on the same lines as Green... And yet people love it...

Don't get either of them...

I thought the Tom Green Show was pretty cool. But sometimes his antics got pretty old.

Yes the dad was the funniest part of the show IMHO. The first couple were great but then it was like OK now what do we do, the 30 year old paperboy premise isn't going to carry the show.

I seem to recall it was his actual father but don't quote me.
