I'm not getting excited until @STL, vsCAR and @WAS are in the books, heading into the bye.

You aren't getting excited anyway.

Don't try to jump on the koolaid bandwagon when they win at least two of those three. You had your chance and you chose to stick with 7-9, 7-9, 7-9, 7-9...

I was wondering today...when we start winning on the regular who will feel better? The koolaiders thinking "finally I'm vindicated and this team has stopped making me look like an idiot" or the darksiders thinking "damn, I love that this team is making me look like an idiot?"

Which feeling is/will be better? Maybe I need cheese in on this discussion. Both are pretty awesome feelings....

Personally I'd rather be optimistic and wrong than pessimistic and right.

My feelings, personally, would be that when I finally let the Kool-Aid buzz wear off and started judging this team for what it truely is, we started winning. ;) I feel like my NFL IQ has grown tons over the past 12-18 months.

Except it looks more and more like you weaned yourself off the Koolaid at the wrong time.

Btw, I think it is cute that you are going to ride or die with 7-9...but at 8 you are going to get a non-stop earful. Just fair warning. :D

:)

Wont be the first/last time I've been wrong.

From the pittsburgh artice:
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/lead.../s_530595.html

The crowd may have been a factor in some of the trouble the offense had against the Cardinals, and the Steelers used a silent snap count at times to try and combat the noise.

But Tomlin said loud, hostile crowds are the reality for NFL teams when they play on the road, even ones that have a national following such as the Steelers.

Wow, This is the cardinals creating a hostile crowd!! For all the talk I have seen about the number of Steeler fans in the crowd, Tomlin sure did not think there were enough Steeler fans in the crowd.

Forgetting for a moment, the veracity of Tomlin's statements - to me, his comments, as reported here, reflected a lack of class.

My thoughts exactly Jeff. We kicked their arse and Tomlin's character got exposed.

Don't forget that crowd noise is amplified in an enclosed dome. Domes will be much louder than open stadiums, like the majority of the NFL has.

in some more hard hitting analysis, Tomlin noted that the Cardinals only scored on three of their plays --- in all the other plays, the Steelers shut them out. "For like 60 plays, all they did was move the ball maybe 5 yards a play -- like who cares, ya know? -- but it was those three plays where we thought it was a tv timeout or something where they got the ball into the endzone. We eliminate just those three plays, we win easy as pie"
:violin:
Boo freaking hoo Tomlin...You got out played, deal with it...

Here is some "Tomlin Logic" in favor of the cards:

Take away a 20-yard run that Parker broke off in the fourth quarter and the Pro Bowler rushed for 17 yards on 18 carries. He managed just two yards on two carries late in the third quarter after a James Harrison fumble recovery gave the Steelers the ball at the Cardinals' 4 with the score tied, 7-7.
Tomlin reminds me of a student who says, "I would have passed the test if it weren't for missing 65% of the questions..."

what??? if you're optimistic and wrong then you cheer for a crappy team.

if you're pessimistic and right you still cheer for a crappy team, but you're also right.

i think the darksiders will enjoy it wrong b/c we've seen the realistic side of the cards for years, so we'll get the true pleasure of finally seeing a good product. the koolaiders have been delusional for years, so who's to say they will actually "get it?"

regardless, we're all gonna be delirious when this is all turned around. but at present, even with sunday's gem, we're still only 3 games removed from the pathetic loss in SF, so i'm tempering my enthusiasm and upping my 5-6 wins prediction to 7.

I'd rather be proven wrong with lowered expectations than be crushed because of high expectations. I've learned that lesson being a Suns fan.

And in answer to your question, we're all gonna be equally delirious (at least for a season or two) when we regularly start winning. I can't see anyone enjoying it more than the other, unless you're just incredibly vain and get a kick out of saying I told you so... although, most "darksiders" are already jocking this team right now, so... Lakers suck.

after watching this game i've come to the conclusion that i CANT STAND tomlin. maybe it was because he wore sunglasses indoors and that annoys the crap out of me! we were the better team on sunday in every part of the game. but excuses, excuses.

I just hate him cause he won't give us our due. Steelers are a lot of hot air anyway and are due to deflate.

The Seahawks have learned thier lesson and now have a little more respect towards the Cardinals.

Marcus Trufant was giving us a lot of respect on the radio. It was good to hear that a division rival is starting to have to bring their A game to Arizona.

Yes, but you also aren't right about your team sucking. Being hopeful and crushed, to me, is better than being pessimistic and being right about it...I like being right as much as the next guy, maybe more, but I don't like being right about depressing crap.
