Spurs Fan, Chintzy bastards. Why am i not surprised.
I sympathize with the spurs fans, they are tired of championships and all the flopping that that entails. I just wish the NBA was into flopping alog time ago so I could have seen charles flop and roll around on the floor like Tony Parker, it would be so funny with charles defending his flops on TNT.

Hmm...

Not to rain on the parade here or anything, but Game 3 is not sold out yet either with just slightly over 24 hrs until tipoff. I guess it must mean the Spurs are so boring, people don't want to see them play in Phoenix either.

Well now...

But I'm sure it's a TOTALLY different situation with the Suns.

seriously, Suns fans have no right to bash any other team's fan, especially the Spurs. Wasn't it Amare himself who said that was the loudest arena he's ever played in? When was the last time anyone said that about our fans? Probably 15 years ago back in the Finals. Hell, At AWA, in the upper deck during Game 6 of the WCF, Ouchie and I were told to sit down and shut up because we were cheering "too loud."

the fact that we haven't sold out Game 3 doesn't surprise me at all. the fact that none of the people who were bashing Spurs fans probably won't bash our fans the same won't surprise me either.

To tell you the truth, I'd rather watch the suns play the lakers, mavs, jazz, hornets or warriors in a regular season game(or any of those 2 teams play each other).

don't you think the same could be of Spurs fans who are probably tired of seeing their team beat us and want to wait for a better matchup in a more important round?

Being down 0-2 in the series may be a factor as well since alot of the bandwagoners think its all over so why bother.

Any chance we can compare the cost of that ticket to the spurs, is there a discount like there was with the Spurs?
I have always thought Suns fan are too easygoing, you go to the arena and they barely make enough distractions to get the opposing team to miss a free throw and i still find it annoying that Lakers fan come in there and make more noise than the home Fans.
The suns fan may not be the most aggresive but they are definetly better attendance than the Spurs fan, you would think the At&T center will be filled to the last seat judging by the amount of annoying bunch of Wuss at the spurstalk forum

There's no excuse for Suns fans either. We sold out every home game this year. If we can sell out early regular season games against pathetic teams like Suckramento, the Clippers, and T-Wolves, we should be able to easily sell out playoff games against the freaking Spurs.

Perhaps part of the blame rests with the Suns for marking up playoff ticket prices higher than they should be, but Phoenix is big league enough to sell the place out.

I cant answer for spurs fans, just that spurs basketball respresents the most boring basketball since the riley knicks. Sure they win, but any team that starts 2 guys that cant score and grapples and flops on defense falls far short of the ideal I have for basketball, the way it should be played, that is the showtime lakers or early 90's suns. I want a KJ or Nash or magic at the point, dishing and shooting. The spurs dont even have a real PG, I guess I want to see beautiful passing, and duncan is the only one on the spurs that does that. Yes the spurs are skilled at efficiently taking advantage of the rules and matchups, and using role players with very narrow skill sets. Frankly I'd rather watch the pistons or celtics defensively, much more exciting teams. Maybe spurs fans like that kind of ball, I dont. Watching a spurs game just makes me want to watch baseball. Sorry, I grew up watching DR J, Bird, Magic Jordan, Drexler, Hakeem, I just cant get excited about "sterile" basketball.

don't you think that says a ton about Suns fans? Even though I think the series is over, I'd still go to the game if I was in Phoenix and had the money.

I dont think so, there are other entertainment alternatives and the NBA is all about entertainment. Pure competition wouldnt use "superstar rules" or other such flexible standards. If the NBA was pure competition, then it wouldnt compete with entertainment as I prefer competition. The NFL is pure competition, the NBA is entertainment, thanks to stern. I dont pretend to know what most fans think or speak for them, though apparently most sports fans prefer other sports to the NBA.

well, I disagree with a lot of this, but I guess I kinda see where you're coming from.

Winning cures all ills. And if the Suns played Spurs commitment to D and share the ball O and won multi-titles, would you really care about stuff that you can't control like public perception or tv ratings?
Nope, you'll just collect titles and let the rest settle itself. Remember, it can't be controlled. Plus the 4-letter network does the Spurs no favors and finds a way to demean them every chance they get.

no one would give a rats ass about any of those things if we won titles. It's just sour grapes.
