"End of an era" is a phrase often thrown around in sports and entertainment, to mark the end of a usually successful timespan. Awards, championships, and elite recognition are among what's attached to this and used to celebrate greatness. The San Antonio Spurs seem to be nearing the "end of an era." There are the Kawhi Leonard rumors to boot, which feature him on the trade block, with the Boston Celtics, both Los Angeles teams and the Philadelphia 76ers in the group of interested teams. Losing a superstar midway through his career would be unprecedented in San Antonio's past two decades of success.
