Top 2025 Savannah area track and field times and marks

The 2025 track and field season has been off and running since February, and the Greater Savannah area is blessed with an abundance of talented athletes who are poised to peak at the GHSA State Meets set for May 9 and 10.

There are several state champions looking to finish atop the podium once again — including Jenkins senior Coray Stafford, who is competing in Class 3A this year after winning the Class 5A 100-meter crown last year.

Richmond Hill's Billy Cunningham won the Class 7A long jump state championship with a leap of 24-feet last season, and the senior has recently returned to action after dealing with an injury.

Savannah Country Day's Andrew Wynn is back for his senior year after taking the Class 3A 300-meter hurdle title and finishing second in the 110 hurdles at state last year. He'll be competing in the Class A-3A Private State meet this time around.

Liberty County's Jaidyn Hayes is back for her senior season looking to defend her Class 3A discus title.

Benedictine has three of its four runners from last year's Class 4A 4x200 championship relay team back in Bubba Frazier, Stephen Cannon and Stanley Smart Jr..

Richmond Hill has a team stacked with talent including hurdlers Kendrick Joshua, who has the best time in the state across all classifications in the 300 meter hurdles, and Timothy Alston, who is among also among the state's top hurdlers in both the 300 and 110 meter events.

The Wildcat girls squad features senior Mmekom Inyang, who has signed with Howard University as a heptathlete. She has the best shot put mark in the state, just inches ahead of teammate Jada Young, and is also one of the top hurdlers in the Greater Savannah area.
