Gabriel Knight...Sins of the Fathers...

I don't know too many to chose from, might be missing some right now. Ultima 7 part II I thought was really good... Max Payne, I like something with a good story/ line plot... kind of like you're controlling a movie...
I think good RPG's have good plots/adventure
