Did the Magic work out Vroman? Maybe they had two guys they were looking at for the beginning of the second round and wanted both of them. They needed to ask the Suns to take one of them, but because of the trade with Chicago, it was too complicated to do all at once. Marion, Johnson, and Vroman for McGrady?

ESPNews just reported that Francis had a good conversation with the Magic and their GM and it will pave the way for the Houston deal to be finalized.

And the Orlando Sentinel posted a story that Weisbrod talked to Francis and convinced him on his idea.

Sucks for how little Houston is basically getting TMac and the Suns balking at including JJ.

Actually, it might say something about Tracy McGrady's value around the NBA. It's entirely possible that teams are not quite as high on him as the fans. They could see him as a superstar, but not a player like Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, or Kobe Bryant who you would build an entire team around.

I would think a lot of it would have to do with his player option. Maybe he really is saying that he'll only re-up with Houston. I certainlly wouldn't want to give up a lot to give him if he was saying he would opt out and test FA at the end of the season.

The average age of those Houston players is 28.5. I don't get how it makes sense to trade for those 3 when you draft a highschooler at #1 over Emeka Okafor.
