Just wait a year. I made a post on this. He is leaving for a year. We can get him free the following year
Someone will, but he will basically have his choice of any place he would want to go.

Yes I believe Brees would have 100% been hugely successful with or without Peyton. Draft capitol for Peyton is laughable.
I don't know about that. He was significantly better in New Orleans than he was in San Diego. And not even close. His 1st 3 years in SD were really bad. His next 2 were better, but not anywhere near what he did with Payton.

Sorry for those who think that Payton would never work for Jerry Jones. Big article in todays Dallas Morning News on how they are very good friends.

5 things to know about Sean Payton’s relationship with Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys

Payton’s time in Dallas was brief, but his relationship with the Cowboys’ owner is everlasting.

He hates Jerry Jones with a passion from what I have understood over the years from people behind the scenes here in Texas... anyone coaching the Cowboys is a puppet and that's not him
100% wrong. Today article in the Dallas Morning News:

Don't want no cast-off head coaches.

Name me a HC who is successful on his second trip round the block.

If he's a known success, he'll usually re-up with the "girl he brought."

So nobody’s cares that he paid his players to injury our ring of honor player? So 10 years ago huh? Kind of disgusts me, he was suspended for a year! makes me question character, not just his.

No QB and $73 million over the cap, I see why he wanted out. Huge dead cap numbers for all the big contracts too.

I wouldn't label Peyton as a cast-off. Pete Carrol and Bill Belichick come to mind as second time around guys.
Both were underwhelming in their first go rounds as head coaches. Pretty dang good in their second trips

Jeff, this really isn't that hard. For starters, how about Bill Bellicheck, Bruce Arians and Andy Reid. Those are the last three Super Bowl Chanpion Coaches.

And all of those guys actually ended up being MORE successful on their second trip around the block.

I think this retirement is for real. He could jump back next year (he’ll be taking a marquee job if he does), but I think he is ready for another chapter.

That makes sense. But what would be different working for another puppet master like MB?
People can read the recent media with a obvious narrative to make the relation of Jones and Payton peaches and cream but it's not. I know people familiar with the Jones family, the whole rotten bunch, and you will be hard pressed to find anyone who appreciates them and when they do they are just brown nosing to snuggle up to their money... and Jerry (the GM owner haha) makes MB look like a neophyte when it comes to control

I am not saying that he is not a good coach, but I think he is overrated. Drew Brees was such a good leader and motivator for the Saints. honestly, if Sean Payton had to start with Jameis Winston when he first started coaching, he would’ve been fired by now

I thought that was his DC. He was banned for a lack of control or something like that. At least that was my recollection.

Sean Payton was the first head coach in the league who was suspended for any reason. Suspended one season without pay.

Greg Williams, his DC, was suspended indefinitely.

I knew Payton was suspended. But he wasn’t the one paying the bounties. It was his DC that was doing it. Payton got tagged for it coming on his watch.

Sean just got remarried over the summer. His wife isn’t just incredibly pretty, but she’s a very nice lady too.

I don’t think any of this is smoke and mirrors- I think the dude is gone from coaching and off to new projects.

He the 2nd best/top 5 coach since this millennium began. Tell me I’m wrong.
You’re wrong

His summer home is about 2 hrs by air from PHX. If the money and philosophy is right (meaning his way), he may consider it.

MB should tell SK to go work his trade magic if he wants to stay employed…
Where is his summer home?
