Trade O'Neal and Barbosa To Utah - http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2166~614~434~1014&teams=26~26~21~21&te=&cash=

Suns Roster

PG: Jose Calderon, Jannero Pargo(Sign him), Goran Dragic
SG: Jason Richardson, Jason Kapono
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, Jared Dudley
PF: Amare Stoudemire, Andrei Kirilenko, Louis Amundson
C: Mehmet Okur, Andrea Bargnani

Now thats a damn lineup! Might not be powerful enough to win the west but we get younger, faster, better overall defensively and we surround Amare with shooters.

Toronto would most likely jump at the Nash trade offer, but would Utah?

Shaq fits their style very well and they dump Kirilenko's contract and add Barbosa who is better than Brewer and Miles. And who can deal with a Shaq, Boozer and Milsap frontline with Williams and Barbosa killing you from outside? Sloan would probably love that.

Very realistic trades that show Amare we are committed to making this his team while staying competitive.

I don't think they'd give up Bargnani like that. He seems to be on the way to be better than Okur in 2 years. More realistic is probably, Nash for Calderon + Parker. Parker can play backup pG.

Why does Utah do that deal?

Cause Kirilenko has a horrible contract, Barbosa is young and has a great contract and Barbosa is way better than Miles and Brewer.

Plus Shaq is in shape and playing at a top level right now and fits in well with Utah's style of play.

Losing Okur hurts longterm but not this season. But Barbosa eases the loss down the road since hes also young and would be a starter for them.

Toronto gets screwed in the first deal. Phoenix gets screwed in the second.

Guess it works out.

Lopez and Tucker have zero trade value so right away that trade is dead. Every other player mentioned in that scenario has more value then those 2. Even if the numbers match up you have to assume the other team even wants them. They won't.

if you think shaq made amare's job harder, imagine how much he'll make boozer's harder. He takes up too much space. boozer goes on the block, and okur spreads the floor. trading for shaq would kill that spacing, and make it much harder on boozer to do his thing

Nobody talked about "Shaq made Amare's job harder" until now. Please recall how Amare was in the end of last season and early this one.

Since some of u people have very poor memory, should I remind u a few simple facts: Marion got traded pretty much for Amare, they 2 didn't get well together. Shaq came here all for Amare, in order to allow Amare play PF. Actually, the Robin Lopez draft was also for Amare, to make sure he stays at PF even when Shaq rest.

Now u guys blame Shaq for Amare's recent slump? Wow, how could Shaq possibly do anything to Amare's rebounding and defence? Just a flashy memory, Shaq played just 24 minutes and fouled out in Toronto, Amare played 43 minutes, that's good for 6 rebounds. In that game, Hill had 9 and Nash 6.

Hell yes, Shaq is the cause, he is the problem, and the trouble maker. Let's trade him when his value is high. Find some1 else to help Amare.

Oh no. I've waited too fricken long for the SUNS to aquire a true center that can score & rebound. I don't care that he's on the downslide either.....Shaq has proven(with the right care & committment from our TS)that he's still a legit big man in this league.
No thanks on Okur....nice player, but no thx.

Calderon is good for 14 and 8 already... Calderon + pick would be enough for Nash.

Maybe a Calderon + first round for Nash + second round pick... thats fair ATM.
Although Nash has been playing well.. so maybe Kapono can be added.

Agree, i wouldn't hesitate to make a deal like that.
I think Toronto would try milking us out of a future 1st though.....

If (and it's a big if), Kerr decides to trade a major player mid-season, it will only be one of them. Nash or Amare or Shaq. Certainly not two or more. Teams just don't do that. Trades are hard enough, and there is so much money tied up in the superstar players.

More realistic scenario based on past NBA teams is to fire the coach if the slide continues. Then make a trade deadline trade if things are still bad, size of the trade depends on how bad the team is playing. However, teams don't blow it all up mid-year by trading everyone.
