That's intriguing. I don't know what his contract is like, but hell I'd consider that all day.

Wait, our first or yours? Ours, no way in hell.

I would actually consider it... That would give us the 13th and 16th pick. Then go out and sign Hackett... Very intriguing. And I am a fitz fan...

If you mean you get Fitz and OUR first, you gotta lay off the pipe. Peppers sucked this year. Fitz is WAY more valuable than he is.

This is a joke, right? You want Fitz and a first round pick from us?

How about Peppers and your first round draft pick for the next 5 years for Fitz? And throw in about $25mil. We'll take that.

The problem with this is that it doesn't really help our cap situation very much. I don't think the Cards will trade Fitz unless they are shaving at lesat 6-7 Million off their cap if they are only getting one player and picks back. After the remaining part of Fitz's bonus is taken into account in this trade we end up only saving about 1 Million.

I'd take Peppers, Steve Smith, and a 2nd round pick for Fitzgerald.

I'd take Smith and 3rd or 4th for Fitzgerald in a straight up trade. We would be losing out in the age game but Steve Smith is Steve Smith.

No way would I or the Cards do that deal. Peppers is a great player, but he'll be out of the league in 5 years, while Fitz style of play he could easily be around for another 15 years if he wanted. If it was Peppers for Fitz straight up I wouldn't do it. Peppers and Carolina's 1st and I'd have to serouisly consider it. But Peppers for Fitz and our 1st is insane.

kman, you are welcome here -- as long as you make the effort to write in English with capitalization and other punctuation. This is not text messaging.

Seriously... I misread the question.. I guess I waqs just ASSUMING WE GET THE PICK....

If we are giving up the pick, the conversation is over...

That said if they give us Peppers, the #13 and maybe a 2nd round pick this year.. and I say ok we could work that deal...

Anything less and its a no and not even close...
