Owings is terrible in CF, some teams, such as Angels have needs at SS and Owings is hot to .260.

Trade Owings, call up O'Brien, cut Gosselin, call up Bourgeois and move Peralta to CF. Bourgeois as a late game defensive replacement and Tomas, Drury, and O'Brien playing the corners.

Segoura spot starts SS with Drury spot starting 2nd and 3rd.

We have potential to lead league in runs and Owings is not getting it done.

Owings is needed while AJ is on the DL. Trade Tomas and call up O'Brien. Owings can be dealt later, hopefully after he's put up some better offensive numbers which might bring greater value in a trade...

I am not opposed to trading Owings but I am not sure why O'Brien should be called up...

Looking at O"Brien's minor league stats, he has a .324 batting average (good!) and a .324 OBP... (YIKES!!!). A 31-1 strikeout to walk ratio.

I suspect that kind of swinging mentality in the minors projects very poorly at the next level.

That's ugly. Plus he's actually older than Tomas who has improved significantly over last season.
