No but it is an interesting point. The general feeling was Marv was a generational prospect and the #1 overall WR on everyone's board but what Smith and others are saying is had he run the 40, he might not have been.
The guys in the video were both at Marv's pro day and watched and Smith said it was obvious there, he's very good in routes, he looked like an NFL veteran in college, but it was very apparent he's not as fast as people may have thought he was. There's another point about short area quickness where they say if you compare him to Thomas, another big Wr, it's just obvious Thomas is much quicker and explosive. Smith thinks he had a good rookie year, I think he gave him a B-, and says he thinks he will get better but his concern is he doesn't have the top end speed people thought he had and that's why how the Cards tried to use him wasn't as successful as expected. we thought he'd be able to get open easier than he could.
I figured out why the video came across my feed too, Kyler did an interview that came out yesterday and in it he was asked about marv and said the connection has to be better and will and talked about Marvs growth etc.
