If Bledsoe is having trouble finding a team who wants to pay him the max, why not work it out with Cleveland?

Cleveland gets
Eric Bledsoe (new large extension)
MIN pick(s) owed to PHO

Phoenix gets
Anthony Bennett ($5.6 million, team options 2015, 2016)
Dion Waiters (4.1, team option 2016)
Brendan Haywood (2.0, expires 2015)

If the Cavaliers are willing to ship out Wiggins for Love, surely they'd be willing to let Bennett go for Bledsoe. This deal would give them another above-average starter to help them compete immediately.

The Suns get two players who may or may not amount to anything, but who fill positions of need and might just need a change of scenery. Haywood is another big body to log some minutes if Plumlee and Len aren't enough.

It's interesting and Bennett seems to be having a much better showing in this year's Summer League but I'm not sure I'd go for it either, mostly because I'm not hot on Dion.

Yeah, I might be talked into Bennett, but I'm not a fan of Waiters. If we could somehow get Wiggins, I'm all in. Of course they really have no use for Bledsoe with Kyrie there, but who knows? Wait, with Kyrie and Bledsoe's seemingly constant injury status, maybe they could get a full season between the two?

Ew no. I'd rather let Bledsoe walk and sign with the Bucks and get nothing in return than that.

Bennett is a tweener who is garbage. Waiters has some attitude problems and is selfish.

Wiggins or nothing from CLE.

Ooooooh, that is a damn good idea. It's a risky move for both sides, but I'd do the deal if I were the GM on either side.

Cavs need to show Lebron they are serious about winning NOW, and Bledsoe will certainly be better than Wiggins thios year and next. Bledsoe is Lebron's buddy, so that can't hurt either. It's also odd that lebron never mentioned Wiggins in his big article about going back to Cleveland. I know he denied that was intentional, but I am not buying that.

Suns don't need to win now, and they can be patient with Wiggins. They also need a franchise player, and Wiggins could develop into one. Additionally, who knows what the hell will happen with Bledsoe- they might not keep him anyway.

I like Bennett but I don't think the value is there in that deal. I'm not sure Haywood and Waiters have positive value.

If Cleveland is going to trade Wiggins, there's no way they would do so for Bledsoe when they can get Love. Love is just a better fit for that team currently than Eric.

It's Cleveland, and David Griffin should do Phoenix a favor ;)

Minnesota has been holding out for Cavs to include Wiggins in their negotiations, and up until very recently the Cavs have not been willing to do so.

If Wiggins is on the table, I'm guessing the rest of the deal falls into place relatively quickly after that.

Nothing official, either way.

Ah, fair enough. If they can get Love for Wiggins, they are not going to be interested in Bledsoe, unless Lebron pushes for him instead.

But they could get Love and Bledsoe. I'm a long way from being sold on Bennett, but he's worth a flyer, especially if the alternative is either letting Bledsoe go for nothing or matching a huge overpayment for him.

For those that missed it, Kevin Love is not part of the trade Eric was suggesting.

I would want Andrew Wiggins somehow out of that deal. Although, I don't think there is anyway Cleveland gets Love without sending Wiggins back in that deal.

Would rather get Thompson back than Bennett. At least Thompson provides a starting PF who can rebound. Bennett provides you a guy that will probably be out of the league in a few years. I bet CLE wishes it went another direction last year.

If GS relents and includes Thompson, and Love goes to GS, then Cleveland may turn to try to get Bledsoe. But if they were unwilling to send Wiggins for Love, they surely won't trade him for Bledsoe.

Where is Cleveland going to get all this money for LeBron, Irving, Love & Bledsoe? Lebron wants Love. No way could they add Bledsoe.

Huge overpayment after Bledsoe getting an offer sheet from which team?

I'm still not that worried about having to match a huge overpayment. Who is going to pay him? I dont see a team with the money and positional need out there. Bledsoe and his agent at some point is going to have to come to terms with what his market is.

or they'll sign the tender and play out the season. that's my fear...then we may have him at the deadline, which could suck balls.

With Bledsoe's injury history he cannot afford to just sign the tender. Even a reasonably small injury that costs 10 games or so would just add to the injury reputation that he now has. Besides, he would have to make up $9 million in the next contract just to break even.
