“None of the bullying stuff is going to happen to us,” Porter said. “If any of the bullying stuff happens, it’s going to be us on defense.”

Like hearing stuff like this. I think Porter will rally the defense and make them all accountable for their mistakes and poor tackling. He just might be exactly what this team needed.

Meh... I'll believe it when I see it evidence... such as consistent pressure on the QB and increased sack totals... Less points per game and the Cards defense actually getting notice for something other than letting up 95 points in 2 post-season games...

You saw it. I saw it, the world saw it.
Obiviously, Whiz saw it too.

Haven't seen anything resembling trained assassins wearing Cardinal Red... Adrian... Dockett... Dansby... Campbell... they showed that style every now & then. But we'll need to see a ton more of it in order to be successful.

Hopefully Porter can back up his word on the football field. He certainly has a history of making big promises. <Rolls eyes>

You do understand that Campbell, Dockett, Hayes, Dansby, Rolle, DRC, Wilson and McFadden were all hurt when most of this happened right? How good would you expect the offense to play if Warner, Boldin, Fitz, Beanie, Hightower, Patrick and Levi were hurt? Not saying the D was good, just that the group really wasn't as bad, IMO, as many have made them out to be.

I am honestly beginning to worry that Porter and 9-0 may kill someone together on the field this year.

I love the attitude and consistency he's going to bring to the defense. Consistency? Yes. He may talk a lot and, if he doesn't get playing time (which he will), he may talk too much, but the one thing he has always done is take care of his responsibilities on the field and hold his defensive mates accountable.

Lining up Porter on the same side as Dockett when Dockett is already commanding a double team is going to make Porter's job that much easier. If they compensate and send someone extra on porter, Campbell or Will Davis will have an easy job on the other side. Its a matter of numbers. Our front three plus Davis/Porter could be a task to handle in themselves, and we still have 6 more players left on the field to as we please with. Cue more Wilson blitzes. Honestly, we have the personal it will all be a matter of the schemes.

Hey 82-----KNOW THIS-----Whiz knows exactly why he asked the FO to bring Porter in. Porter knows exactly what expectations Whiz has of him. Among those expectations is that, (just like it is Lott's job to get the players minds right about their conditioning), it will be Porter's job to get their minds right on game day. He excells at this, no matter whose system he plays under. He patrols the locker room, and the hallways, and the tunnel, making sure that EVERYONE has their mind right for the game. THAT is the biggest difference that Porter will make with this team, but it is a HUGE difference believe me. We have not had an attitude adjuster here before now.

Be prepared to see a big difference in HOW our Defense approaches each game now. You will not likely see silly little back flips, (ala Rolle) after a play this year. If you see a celebration at all on the field, it will be primal. It will be gutteral. It will be noticed by the opponent, and more importantly, it WILL be feared by the opponent. There WILL be a new attitude. Porter will see to it.

Look out for CODY BROWN who was by far a better rusher in College than Davis. IMO

In last year's draft edition of the Sporting News, Brown was listed as the best potential pass rusher amongst outside linebackers even though he was a converted College DE.

(They ranked Aaron Curry as best against the run; Brian Cushing as best in coverage - and Clay Matthews as most versatile)

Oh, Catfish I pray you have been given wisdom from above.

This is exactly the attitude I want our Defense to have. Take no prisoners.
