Who will the New York Giants select with the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft?
Mock draft experts think the choice is pretty clear: Travis Hunter, Colorado's two-way phenomenon and reigning Heisman Trophy winner. He has been mocked to the Giants more than any other player.
The Tennessee Titans appear to be locked into Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall selection. They became enamored with him after his pro day several weeks back, after initially sending out signals they were not locked into drafting a quarterback.
Cleveland, with the second pick, could go in any direction. They could certainly take Hunter and call it a day, or they could grab Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter. They could also trade down.
The Giants will wait patiently (or impatiently) for those teams to make their selections and then likely take either Hunter or Carter. The folks at Pro Football Focus believe it will be Hunter based on their mock draft simulation results.
The Giants just added Paulson Adebo to their secondary in free agency to play across from former first-round pick Deonte Banks. Hunter could come right in and shake that order up. Banks has been largely inconsistent, and the Giants are unsure whether he is the anchor they believe they drafted two years ago.

Hunter is one of the most talented players I have ever scouted. As a cornerback, he brings good mirror-matching movements and truly elite ball skills. He can be a bit out of control and lacks some density, which gets most exposed in press-man coverage. As a primary zone defender with press-man flexibility, he can be an immediate starting cornerback with an All-Pro ceiling.
