The harm is he'll just eat a roster spot better utilized by an actual football player. Think Rob Housler only worse, because he'll actually be getting the football. As RB's go, he's like the Rob Housler of blocking. And catching.

So speaking of Housler, who we rolling with at the TE position? Niklus? Carlson? I did like what I saw out of Fells last year. Big and strong

Sign 1 yr deal for league minimum if possible and let him earn it. What is the harm in that?

He is hot garbage. Has some of the worst vision I've ever seen out of a running back with his pedigree coming out of college. Like it was said, waste of a roster spot.

Blew two first rounders by two different teams (and the blown one for the browns was blown on Manzeil). So, biggest bust ever??

No. If we're talking about players taken in the first round and traded for a 1st round pick, Rick Mirer holds that title. Mirer was the 2nd pick in the 1993 draft. Flopped in Seattle then was traded to the Bears for a 1st round pick and flopped even worse there. At least Richardson had a decent rookie season. Been down hill after that.

That's a good question. I liked Nicklas and really liked Fells, but Carlson, who should have been serviceable, was bad last year, even though I suspect we roll with him again.

All our TE's are below average, which really brings me back to AP frankly, because I think we're getting him. He's always run with a FB, and all we have are crappy TE's to block for him. Our linemen upgrades help, but he still has crap TE's blocking for him and no FB.

The weird thing is, especially Niklas, that we draft a blocking TE and may land a stud RB. That's foresight, and scary on Keim's part, if you ask me. Because we have no FB in BA's scheme, so Keim would have had to have been preparing that almost two years ago, to draft him. Not saying he was eyeing AP, but just eyeing any stud RB and drafting that way, someone to block for him, knowing BA doesn't use a FB, is awesome.

Yes, but the first rounder was then blown on Manzeil. Cursed pick all the way down.

Yep he's going to be our new RB instead of AP. Keim will sign him to an exclusive all you can eat deal. Three hots and a cot with vet minimum.

He can't be worse than Stepfan Taylor. I am all in for AP but if we don't get him...we desperately need a power back. I am not advocating for Richardson but the risk/reward of BA motivating/coaching him up is enticing.

The guy can be really good, but hasn't shown it.

Cards won't go after Trent. Arians is still very close to the Colts HC Chuck Pagano. He would really know the inside stuff on why they gave up on him.

From Walterfootball.com on the Raiders signing of Richardson:

Raiders sign RB Trent Richardson (2 years, $3.9 million): MARCH MILLEN MADNESS Grade
I was planning on giving the Raiders a grade like a "C-" or a "D" had they signed Trent Richardson to the league minimum. Paying him nearly $2 million per season is downright irresponsible and stupid.

I have no idea what Reggie McKenzie is thinking. Richardson is absolute trash, both as a player and as a presence in the locker room. If you're thinking that there isn't much risk to this acquisition because Richardson isn't signed on for that much money in the grand scheme of things, that's absolutely wrong. The risk is that Richardson will poison the team with his horrible attitude and lethargy. He's not a good person to surround Derek Carr with, and it's not like Richardson has ever accomplished anything in his career.

I've never heard one word about Richardson being a bad guy or bad teammate. He's just slow. That's why his skills haven't translated

Former agent Joel Corry confirms Trent Richardson's suspension voids the guarantees on his $3.18M 2015 base salary.

Richardson was suspended during the playoffs for conduct detrimental to the team. He'll likely file a grievance through the NFLPA, but if the suspension stands then the Colts can dump their inept running back without paying him the final year of his guaranteed rookie contract. It would be a tiny silver lining for the franchise, who gave the Browns a first-round pick to acquire Richardson early in the 2013 season. He's been outperformed badly by players named Boom Herron and Zurlon Tipton.

That's a BS story this was all over PTI, highly questionable all that stuff. It's actually a very shady move on the Colts part so they could void his contract and get out of paying him. He missed the walk through because he was taking his pregnant girlfriend to the hospital with an emergency . Trust me if he was an all pro this wouldn't have been news at all. That's why him and his agent are fighting this. I like the Colts and always have but this makes them look very bad.

Going around questioning his character without knowing the story is really reckless
