Trey McBride enjoyed a career-best season in 2024. The Arizona Cardinals are handsomely awarding him for becoming Kyler Murray's top target.

The Cardinals signed McBride to a four-year extension, the team announced Thursday. McBride's deal will make him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history.

McBride, 25, appeared in 49 games over his first three NFL seasons. He recorded 111 catches for 1,146 yards last season, both good for second-most in the league among tight ends behind only Las Vegas Raiders rookie Brock Bowers.

Here's what to know about McBride's contract and how it compares to those given to other top tight ends.
