for ps4, xbox one and i think even xbox 360.

Buy it digital for $20. Buy the disc for $40 and get the season pass with it (5 DLC packs)

If you havent played trials,
Basically you have gas and brake and then leaning forward and backward. That’s it. If you’ve ever watched freestyle motoX where they climb up banks and tires and etc its like that but also has huge jumps and lots of speed in certain areas. Trials is awesome. I have trials and trials evolution on xbox 360. Trials started out as a flash game for free you can try on a pc.

Trials was $5.

Evolution was $10.

Fusion drops tomorrow for $40.

To try how the gameplay works, here is a free flash version of trials:
http://www.kongregate.com/games/redlynx/redlynx-trials-flash-version

up is go, right leans forward, left leans back.

$40 with the DLC included sounds like a day 1 purchase to me. Any preorder bonuses? I'll go to Gamestop today.

Thats all I have heard is that the game is more expensive due to the season pass being built in. Trials has always been arcade only, good to see them getting physical disc treatment.

Id like to simply download it for less clutter but I worry about filling my harddrive too fast and maybe a disc would be better. i dunno what to do! even with a disc it still has to install and take up space but without a disc I dont have to do anything, I just turn it on and play. Thats especially good with my 5 year old, i dont really want him touching my xbone :)

Im going to get the physical disc. DLC included and I would assume faster install vs downloading and installing if I ever have to remove games and reinstall.

I think ima go digital just because I dont like changing discs. I just found the season pass is 19.99 so its the same cost either way.

I hate that every disc has to install and game sizes are so large, hard drive purchases are going to be rampant with new consoles. uninstall reinstall is maddening too - thats the only thing that makes me tempt the discs.

itd be nice if the game installed to the cloud, space is too limited right now. 10 games will fill your entire harddrive.

as far as the season pass, this one will have level editors like the last one. I never ended up downloading expansions and just played peoples created levels for free. So for anyone only wanting to spend $20 and skip the season pass, youll still have access to cool new stuff over time.

DCR did you pick it up? I am reading about screen jarring problems on xbox one? That would be brutal to the game and makes me curious about how the 360 version performs.

Also - noticed today 360 has a demo and one doesnt. I hate that the one isnt doing free trials like 360 did. at least let me play one round and make sure it works before i buy it.

Looks like an updated version of Excitebike on Nintendo. Actually seems fun but I'll probably wait until it's less than $10.

you have 360? if so you can download evolution or trials HD for really cheap and try it out. its a ton of fun IMO.

Excitebike was awesome, i dont remember leaning on excitebike though. This is more off freestyle challenges than just hitting and landing big jumps

I ended going digital as I didn't go to Gamestop. I will get a refund and buy it for the PS4 if the screen jarring problems are really bad.

It reminds me a lot of it, only a ton better. It takes everything you liked about Excitebike and adds current gen/next gen graphics and difficulty. Everyone I know that plays it loves it.

It will come to be the most frustrating video game you might ever play. (if you like it enough)

So far I am liking it. I have only played about 5 or 6 tracks from the beginning of the career. It is the same Trials game which is awesome. I haven't noticed any screen jarring issues as of yet. Those may have been resolved with the day 1 resolution patch that they released.

i downloaded it yesterday and played through the first section, seems fine to me. I hear it goes from easy to insane vs gradually increasing difficulty like they used to.

I will likely jam the crap out of it and then if I want the season pass ill download it when it goes on sale in 6 months or whatever.

Puck - I recommend playing the old ones first, they are awesome and time consuming enough. By t he time you finish those, this will be like 10 bucks!

fionally have played through the first 3 sections, having a blast, great game. Tried out local multiplayer with my daughter, it is fun but a lot like the last trials on multiplayer. Basically, it doesnt split the screen. So if you bail, you regenerate at the next checkpoint when the other person gets to it. It takes away from competition a little bit but is still fun.

Then we went to "track central" where other people create tracks and upload them and played in there for at least an hour taking turns with one controller. This mode alone makes the game 10x awesome. I played games from where I was an off roader tanklike machine driving over mountains (which wasnt a great one) to games where you have to launch off your bike as high as possible, games where you fly off of a ramp, eject off of the bilke and fly forward toward a giant block wall with a tiny little hole in it that you have to get through. Therte was even a human planko game where you are on your bike trying not to bail while falling through a planko like machine.

All of those were in the "skill games" section. You can also download regular tracks and etc that people create. I may never need that $20 season pass with all of this user content.

People can make a myriad of games on this thing, its pretty impressive that they can make what you play with a track editor from a motoX game.

trials frontier now on android, isnt as cool but they link together.

I found out for uplay, you need to create an account online and login through xbox, it wont register on the xbox itself.

Once registered you get access to more stuff including "step into the light" which requires tasks from each game to unlock special outfits.

Only thing its missing now is the ability for users to create multiplayer maps for local play. me and the kids have already played the 8 or so available maps a million times and it has lost its fun factor.
