yea, too much, the redskins invested way to much in one of there many shopping spreees, and now they have to get under the cap to justify there new influx of expensive talent.

Fiore has a history of knee problems thats why he was cut. Trung is DG speed back that we need.

Yeah, I know that about Fiore. But, we need a G worse that a RB, and Trung just doesn't do it for me. He gets injured in heated conversations and drops the ball too easily.

Trung is a solid #2 back, but he shouldn't have been drafted in the 1st round and he is not a starter. He's a change-up back, and he'll be in the league for a while as a #2. I'm surprised nobody has tried to make him a WR. He has great speed and is deadly in the open field.

Trung may be speedy but he sure isn't shifty. That's his problem. Unless there is a big hole right in front of him he isn't going anywhere.

the Rams didnt let him go the Redskins traded for him. He has only been cut by the Redskins, and was more of a salary cap move mor then anything.

One element that went into the Washington Redskins' decision to release tailback Trung Canidate, only a year after acquiring him in a trade, is that the team fears he will need foot surgery to repair an injury that slowed him in 2003. The main reason Canidate was lopped, of course, is that he isn't the kind of power back coach Joe Gibbs favors. But some 'Skins officials are whispering to teams seemingly interested in adding Canidate as a backup that he may not be ready to play for a while.

No way. MLB is not a need position. Ronnie Mac is good enough for 2004. But it probably is a good idea to start looking for his heir apparent.

Seems to me I saw somewhere that Trung may be damaged goods right now....and that the exptectation by the 'skins right now is that he will still be on the shelf come the beginning of the season.

I see no reason in the world to get excited about him coming here and being any big "savior".

The attacking style of defense that it looks like DG is going to use needs linebackers that can take on offensive lineman . Trotter is in the 265-275lb range and is a force in the middle. In a one gap defense the whole D-line goes upfield and leaves the linebackers to fend for themselves. I like McKinnon, but having Trotter in the middle would make a lot more sense to me.
