Well I am not disappointed to see Skaggs gone. Possibly the most overrated DBack prospect I have had the displeasure of watching.

Trumbo I haven't seen enough to really judge yet. His batting average was a career low so maybe he upticks to the .260 range where he has been historically.

Yesterday, I put a post up about how trading young prospects for young proven talent is a move I make. This fits that mold.

Ill take Parker over Cahill any day.

3.68 Career ERA pitching in the AL

In a much better pitching park and he has trended down consistently all year.

Parker isn't a top 40 pitcher. Calling him a stud is just par for the course on "We overrate the **** out of our prospects in Dbacks land"

It does. Hard to say how damaged Skaggs value is right now. This is the same discussion as yesterday.

Are the DBacks selling low or are they just saying "This is the highest it will ever be" like with Bauer?

ARZ did need a power hitter and Towers made no attempt to be discreet about that. I could live with the trade depending on which SP they bring in. I sure was hoping LAA would take Cahill and his contract but they were wise to take Skaggs and get what they wanted from CHI.

This move definitely takes ARZ out the trade game for a SP as they really have no one else to deal except either Didi/Owings or Bradley. Garza seems to be the best left on the FA market but as many mentioned he has been injury plagued and didn't exactly light it up with TEX after they acquired him. I am surprised he hasn't gotten much attention on the market yet as guys like Nolasco & Hughes were snapped up pretty quick.
