Yesterdays games were the highest combined two games for NFL Wildcard playoffs in 3 years. It started with the Cardinals game getting a 14.3 rating and 28 share. The biggest draw was the Colts/Bolts game. It got a 18.3 rating and 30 share, the largest since 1999. That 1999 game was... the Cowboys loss at home to the Cardinals.

If you were wondering a rating point is about 735,000 people so the Cards game drew 10.5 million while the Chargers got 13.4 million.

Speaking of ratings, are the Networks simply going to spontaneously combust? Especially ESPN. No Patriots, no Cowboys, no Peyton, no Favre. I can't believe Chris Berman is still breathing.

Well, they've still got Eli and McNabb. There's always a story there somewhere...

I'm sure the Cardinals game picked up at least 1 or 2 points thanks to the sell out (non-blackout).

The Cards have had a couple ratings winners this year. The Dallas game was also very good. The better numbers they put up, the more they'll be on national games.

Chris Berman is garbage.. His dinosaur player references are annoying as hell, and their countdown show is nothing without Carter and Keyshaun.

Different strokes. I can't even watch guys like that. Carter's not too bad but the Deion's and Keyshaun's of the broadcast booth are intolerable to me.

EDIT: now that I think about, I just don't like most of ESPN and as soon as Jaworski signs with the NFL network, ESPN won't have any redeeming qualities. Their pre-game, post-game, highlights, analysis, playbook, etc. all blow away any of the soap opera, east coast bias, it's more about the reporters than the players or the game crap that ESPN offers.
