Former Auburn defensive backs JC Hart and Terrance Love entered their name into the transfer portal shortly after the Tigers concluded their spring practice session on April 12. One week later, the duo has found new homes out west.

On3 reports that Love and Hart will continue their careers within the Big 12 Conference. Love will join Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, while Hart has committed to Utah to play for Kyle Whittingham and the Utes.

Love committed to Colorado after a recent visit to Boulder. Despite playing in just 11 games over two seasons at Auburn, Love received a high ranking from On3 once he entered the transfer portal. On3 listed Love as the top safety of the window with four-star status. He was a highly touted recruit from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia, in the 2023 recruiting cycle, where he was the No. 29 safety and No. 34 overall player from Georgia according to 247Sports. He will reunite with former Tiger Colton Hood in Colorado.

Hart, who hails from nearby Loachapoka, is heading to Utah after joining Love by signing with Auburn in the 2023 class. Hart appeared in seven games over two seasons, where he participated in 63 snaps.

Hart and Love are two key names that have departed Auburn this spring transfer window. Auburn, however, has added several key defensive players, including former Maryland linebacker Caleb Wheatland and former Liberty defensive lineman Jay Hardy, who returns to Auburn after signing with the Tigers in 2020.
