Not even taking a shot at a Hail Mary is a good summation of kk’s warts for the entire season. Doesn’t go for the endzone. Man I saw some good things from kk this year but so many areas he didn’t grow in.

I thought we were trying to get in position to throw the Hail Mary. Guess KK didn't have faith in the OL to protect long enough for the receivers to get in the end zone.

I'm still against Kliff, but whatever. "He'll get better" is nonsense just built from blind hope.

Nah, you don't. They're normally all in the end zone in a group.

Kliff has so far to go. But this wasn't a perfect game to judge him on, with Kyler hurting.

I’m going to disagree with this take...KK certainly evolved as a HC this year. I don’t have the numbers in front of me but red zone efficiency had to have improved from the abysmal statistics we saw during the first month of the season.

He also showed a willingness to adapt his play-calling early in the season to more “traditional” formations.

I feel one area he certainly grew in was being aggressive and learning to not be so darn conservative...I was pleased with the amount of 4th down attempts they took this year.

I think KK has demonstrated a track record of being willing to adjust, adapt and overcome.

Murray will be better in the two minute drill last year. It is probably what he was least experienced at coming out of college.

yes. Generally, team get much better on third downs and the red zone when they’re bad the prior year. Kingsbury’s attention will shift from learning the NFL game to situational football this offseason.

I’m mystified that Ouchie blames Kingsbury alone for these two-minute failures. Who’s throwing the ball to the middle of the field?!

he faults both while we're watching.

i just think the screen and no hail mary were play-calls so that's why he tee'd off on KK there.

But what I see, starting with a freaking we screen pass to our slowest wr virtually every time, is not a kyler thing. That’s a kk thing. So kyler could be great at it but if he’s given crap play calling to work with it won’t matter a bit.

Red zone has greatly improved. Our 4 minute offense has greatly improved. We scored more points . We’ve run the ball better than last year. Maybe the biggest thing is this team never quit.

do we need to improve ? Yes. But we are head and shoulders better than at this time last year? Absolutely.

Some of us will choose to be Debbie Downers and that’s your choice. I choose to look at the positives. I’m not talking about blind faith and rose color glasses. But we now have something to build on. KK is going to get better as will Kyler.
Jebus more of this? I’ve acknowledged kk’s positives. I can’t point out he continues to crap the bed with every two minute drill? It’s really okay to acknowledge cardinals players, coaches, or front office’s failures without throwing everything out.

Oh no, don’t get me wrong. Kyler has much to learn here too. But he’s not calling the wr screen to Fitz to start every two minute drill. That play invariably kills any chance the drive has consistently.

Not knocking you or anybody Ouchie. Of course we have to evaluate the season, the strengths and the weaknesses. If we were choking in the red zone in week 17 like we were in September it would certainly douse the flame of enthusiasm.

But we saw KK evolve with formations, play calling, play design, 4 minute offense and improved running game. Not all phases improved such as the two minute drill. I also think we should be a much better screen pass team and use the tight ends even more. The fact that we improved in so many areas compared to 2018 is encouraging.
