It depends on how many DL guys you think we keep on the roster. Anyone remember how many we kept to start of the season last year? I think it was 6, considering we only had 22 players on D to start the year. Remember Dockett last year said they ran out of gas, that is probably true because starting out the year with only 22 D players is very low, 1 or 2 more players really can make a difference. This year we might keep 7 guys on the DL. Which means – Watson, Branch, Dockett, Campbell, Iwebema, Eason, Vet/Rookie NT pickup. Which means you don’t have to choice which players would or would not make the team between Branch and Iwebema. IMO that is what the Cards are thinking about with searching for another DL guy to add to the rotation in free agency.

Good thinking...

I don't think there is any way Iwebema is gone. I think the team really likes him. Remember last year he had that big mass cut out of his chest. Hopefully he can have a more smooth offseason and be able to have a better year. I remember him having a great camp as a rookie, and many people were excited about him.

Cardinals roster on the main board lists him at 280 also.

Yeah, you guys are right about his weight being 280...for some reason his draft and rookie year weight of 265 was stuck in my head.

I still don't think he's stout enough to have extended playing time at DE in a 3-4 should an injury occur. And for the record, I don't think we should cut Iwebema, I just think if we have a chance to improve the depth at the position by adding someone like Eason, we should take the opportunity to do so.
