Giri was such a HUGE pickup. Thank God Barry dissed us so we could actually get someone who could be on the court. This really is the most well-rounded Suns team of this era. It's got everything we need to win the West. Big games against Dallas (which'll be a dogfight) and against SA (which will be the ultimate test for me as to how far we can go... gotta beat one of the West best on the road and get that taste in our mouth). Can't wait to see how we do.

This is the most well rounded Suns team EVER. It remains to be seen yet if it is the best. But as far as not having any holes--I can't remember any team more complete.

92-93 was better IMO, mostly because of how old this current team is. Not to mention they were a legit ten deep.

KJ/FJ/Negele Knight at the PG
Majerle/Ainge at the SG
Dumas/Ceballos at the SF
Barkley/Chambers at PF
West/Big O at C

That team won 62 games with Negele Knight starting at the point for 25 games. That's how deep/good/well-rounded they were. I mean, come on... Negele Knight.

But that being said, since then, this is the the most well-rounded team... although it's probably close to what the Suns had going in 1994-5 when they were tearing up the league and so deep that they had Majerle and Manning (still in their prime) coming off the bench, along with Socks. Freaking Manning's knees! ******* this team is so damned cursed!

Manning wasn't coming off the bench for the Phoenix Suns?!?! That was an All-Star team.

he wasn't? I thought we started KJ, Person, AC Green, Barkley and Joe Kliene with D Manning, Majerle, Ainge, Socks, Tisdale, Schayes off the bench the majority of the time before Manning blew out his knee. Could be wrong. Maybe we played him at C, but I just don't remember that. And actually, upon looking it up, out 46 games games played, he only started 19 of them that season.

But man, that team had a slew of injuries all year long as well and still won 59 games and was the better team than Houston (AGAIN) until Barkley destroyed his knee at the end of the first half of Game 6, after he had already gone off for 27 in the first two quarters. Damn injuries.

No, you were right, he was the 6th man. I just like to put that team out of my mind since they really should've been the champs seeing as they were an all star team.
