low cost and backup sure, anything else no thx. Kolb is paid may as well have him be backup but dont have faith in him to ever do anything with it.

Then why keep him if there's a more solid option out there?

If thigpen would take a very small salary I am fine with the suggestion. If he needs good money then we have sunk 10mil into kolb keep him until season ends. Our system takes a while to learn to thigpen could take a while to be a worthy backup to skelton also. IMO

For the vet minimum id swap em in a heartbeat.

I think Mitch wanted him to be our #1 at one point, so he must be starter material...:)

A couple of years ago I wanted to throw him into the mix---he's athletic and plays with good energy, but at this point it's all moot.

Ditto. C'mon, do we really want a QB who can't stick with the Bills? I'd rather have Kolb.
Beggars can't be choosers. Not to mention, the Bills have a pretty good QB situation--not making that team is less an indictment on Thigpen then it is a positive reflection on Fitz and Young.

And, for the record, I'm not necessarily advocating for Thigpen. I'm mostly indifferent. But if Kolb would be cut if not for his salary, then I think he ought to be cut anyways. Money should not be a factor -- if he's a liability then he's a liability.

I think they should just ask Fitz who he thinks would be a good replacement for Kolb, Oh wait a minute he wanted Kolb.

Well then they should ask Fitz who we should pick up for a LT.

Fitz also wanted us to draft that rookie phenom Floyd.

No. Not more cast offs. It does not work with this team or system. Keep Skelton, Kolb and Bartel. Draft a QB in the first round in April.
