I would've gambled on Armstead or Glennon in Rd 3 before the Pothead Badger. :D

So youd gamble on very near guaranteed busts, rather than gamble on a 50-50 bust/superstar?

FYI, Tyranns floor is higher than both of these guys' ceilings.

+1000

Glennon has a much higher likliehood of being a bust (and a lower ceiling IMO) based on his suckage rather then pot. Give me Honey Badger every day of the week.

some people are much harder on off-field mistakes than others. But I think Mathieu is more like a 75% chance of being a superstar with PP. I'm guessing he lives with or close to PP and being on the same team, he wont have many chances to screw up

Maybe you guys have been smoking weed & need a drug test if you think he's got a 50 & 75% chance of being a superstar. IMO He's got major issues working against him that more likely says he's out of the league in 4 years. But just my opinion & I don't like taking a risk on a 3rd rounder with his character flaws.

Didn't the Pot Badger say he was addicted to smoking pot...words that came directly from his mouth? I really have a bad feeling that this kid is just a bad dude who has Lawrence Phillips written all over him when prioritizing a football career vs. bad decisions.

Yeah y'all are right, drafting him isn't all that risky. I bet if he was drafted by the Niners or Bungles, you guys would be ripping them them to shreds.

no. Similarly, I wanted us to sign Burfict as an UDFA last year. I said earlier in this thread that I could see taking him in the 3rd, and would have definitely taken him in the 4th. He's a phenomenal athlete. Also, he wouldn't have as good a chance of success anywhere else, considering it was Peterson and his family that got the kid back on track in the first place. And no, I don't smoke pot, but I don't have the problem with it that you seem to have. I know plenty of successful people that either do smoke pot, or used to. I don't think it will be a problem, but there's always a chance. I wouldn't have guessed DWash was irresponsible enough to fail multiple tests for it either

The Cards could have had a player more suited to safety in Bacarri Rambo in the 6th round and then they could have rolled the dice on Damontre Moore or Sam Montgomery or Terron Armstead or Dallas Thomas or.......

But they didn't. Hopefully the mini-Badger will reward the Cardinals for their faith in him with some great play.

Personally I think he's Buster Davis part two. ;)

I dont see the comparison between mathieu and buster davis?
Mathieu is super talented and had just some off field issues, davis was a very short linebaker with not skills and just rod graves could select him in the 3th round

quite the inverse actually. I would be saying (just like with Lattimore for injury, Bruce Irvin for SEA and Janoris Jenkins for off field by the Rams) another great risk by Team X with minimal impact if it doesnt work out. why dont we ever take those smart gambles? And dont tell me OBrien Schofield...
