INDIANAPOLIS -- Pacers fans spent much of halftime holding their breath after All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton took a tumble on a driving bank shot at the buzzer and cameras caught a painful grimace while he was on the floor. However, Haliburton played more than 16 minutes in the second half and scored 17 points, helping the Pacers escape with a 104-98 win over the Wizards at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Haliburton finished with 22 points and six assists.

Haliburton said afterward that although he was feeling pain in his lower back -- an area where he says he's had issues without his life -- in this case it was for a specific reason and not one he expects to be a long-term problem.

"I'm fine," Haliburton said. "A couple of games ago I got a court burn on my back. I just slid on it and it just started bleeding everywhere. I'm fine. Obviously people don't like to see me grimacing with my history of back issues, but I'm fine. It's just a court burn that started bleeding and it hurt, but I'll be fine."

Haliburton missed three games with lower back soreness March 17-20. He has played in 72 of the Pacers' 79 games this season but has missed a combined seven games with groin, hip flexor and back issues.
