Could be released in the offseason. I’m a fan of his and think we could load up on WR in the draft and take a flyer on him, especially if the top qbs are gone before we pick.

Thoughts?

Love watching Taylor play, but it would be a half measure to bring him in

Game manager extraordinaire.

Not that it is a bad thing, and I think Tyrod Taylor is the type of QB that won't win you a game or lose you one.

Is he a possibility of the Cardinals ? Meh. I would rather talk Palmer to coming back another year, and try to draft a QB than go that route.

I would be for bringing him in and give him a chance to compete for the starting QB position.

Taylor is coming off his worst game of the season, having taken too many checkdowns in long-yardage situations against New Orleans.

I grade each snap taken during the season and have Taylor ranked 15th among starting quarterbacks so far this year. He finished each of the last two seasons no lower than No. 18 in the QB Index. Pro Football Focus has him ranked ninth this season, and he's currently 16th in passer rating with 10 touchdowns against three interceptions. Not to mention, Taylor boasts one of the best skill sets as a runner in football. He's a capable starter in a league short on them, but the Bills clearly don't want him. This is the type of move that teams don't look back from.

I think this team needs a game manager that can make plays when necessary and limit mistakes and turnovers. Taylor is mobile enough to keep defenses honest and he actually does have the arm strength to stretch the field. DJ is going to be the focal point of the offense unless ARZ can land a #1 receiver to possibly replace Fitzgerald.

I still take a QB Round 1 but if Taylor can be had on a short term deal until our QBOF is ready then bring him in. I am sure he is looking for a long term deal but if the guaranteed money is good maybe he is willing to bend on number of years. Worst case he is still in his prime so if the draft pick QB doesn't develop then we could stick with Taylor.

Tyrod can win you some games. He would need talent around him, but there are far worse options in the league and he is mobile. If the season ends with teams who aren't trading down at the top of the draft, he is a viable option.

I want us to draft our QBOTF with our top five pick and then draft a WR in the second round to grow with him. I would rather have Blaine Gabbert than Taylor.

Taylor has no wr on his team and a very good rb. In Arizona he would have an upgrade at both positions.

It's time to move on from Palmer. Draft a QB and bring in Taylor.

I'd be fine with this idea (again with the perspective I think we have a snowball's chance in hell of getting a true QBOTF in the top 5 picks of the draft). Bring in him, Gabbert, and a developmental rookie from rounds 2-3, and let them all compete. If it doesn't work, you hit the reset button on the position the next year.

With the way the season is trending I'd still rather throw our hats into the Cousins competition, but the next best bet is signing someone who can steady the ship for a couple of seasons while we figure out a true rebuild.

Taylor is a solid QB, that's all. Let's be real here does anyone really think he can lead a team to winning a Super Bowl? I don't, so I pass.

I want a QB that is willing and confident enough to put the team on his shoulders when the chips are down. I'm not sure this is the guy, regardless of the talent around him. Those are the QB's that consistently win championships.

Losing your job to Nate Peterman is not a ringing endorsement. Pass.

Generally I would agree with this statement, but since this team hasn't made the playoffs this Century, I wouldn't put too much faith in their judgment of player personnel.

“Franchise” QB? No. Better than Gabbert/Stanton? Absolutely.

If they draft “the guy” they could ( and probably will) do worse.

They bench Taylor. I suppose it was Taylor who gave up 47 points, 482 yards of total offense, 298 yards rushing, 32 first downs, and allowed the Saints offense to hold the ball for over 2/3 of the game. Amazing that the QB gets benched after a game like this and yet not a single player on defense suffers the same fate. Buffalo, this is why you haven't made the playoffs in nearly 20 years.
