Um, he's been in the league for 5 years, not 2. And he averaged all that on a horrible Charlotte Bobcat team.

Mea Culpa. I said two instead of five. The numbers are accurate though.

So, would he average more, or less, points playing along side Steve Nash? I don't think he would have to compete for too many boards with his own teammates, and Nash would give him plenty of shotblocking opportunities. The increased number of possessions because of the Suns fast paced style of play would likely increase every statistic.

Hmm. Say 16, 11, and 2.5 blocks. Yea, we'd just hate to have that along side Amare.

He is Mark West, with better offensive skills, and a better relationship with the refs.

It's a well known fact that you truly evaluate a player's abilities with highlight reels. Every scout does that. For instance, you can clearly see how Okafor gets regularly stuffed under the basket, how well he fumbles the ball and how bad he passes it.

Seriously Okafor lovers, how many Bobcats games did you watch last season? Probably as much as the laudators of the trade for the 'All-Star' J-Rich: zilch.

Trade for this guy asap, Kerr (he has more post moves than Okafor and Chandler combined) :

Trade what? Our 10 million dollar invisible man.

You'd thunk that Kerr made the proposition or atleast thought about Okafor.
But his 5 year 60+ Million contract is HUGE. Bobcats (Larry Brown) wanted Okafor out and didnt see him "fit" with his coaching style (baffles me too), but Chandler is a low risk and high reward player for them, he expires next season (end) Bobcats free up a ton of space... OR if Chandler recovers ever (50% chance), he becomes Larry Brown's Ben Wallace part deux.... maybe even sign him at 7 Million a year extension which Chandler gladly take as he wants security... in the long run its really flexibility for Bobcat's point of view and saw Okafor as expendable.

Hornets become stronger, like a couple of seasons back. Peja is coming off soon too... it'll be interesting.

Could we give the benefit of the doubt and it actually crossed Kerr's mind? A lot of trades happen without a whiff of a rumor. So that follows that a lot of potential trades are discussed without a whiff of a rumor.

The GM's job is to know the market.

Sorry for bumping this.......but maybe the Suns knew something about Emeka Okafor?
The New Orleans Hornets’ biggest offseason acquisition, Emeka Okafor, was held out of contact work for the second consecutive day because of soreness below his knee, Hornets Coach Byron Scott said after Wednesday’s practice.
We have some concerns of something that he did this summer, so we just want to make sure he’s OK before we try to put him through a full day of practice.’’
