UA travels to Baton Rouge to play the Bayou Bengals. Can Stoops and Company keep it close?

I don't think we'll see an offensive explosion from LSU, but I also don't think our offense will be able to produce anything against their defense. I say the Cats lose, but not by as much as people might think.

I'll be happy as long as they keep it respectable and don't roll over. This team is simply too inexperienced to go into Death Valley and come away with a win.

we're gonna get killed...

Possibly, but if the defense really is as good as they looked against BYU, then they should be able to keep the game close. Not saying we'll win, because our offense will struggle, but it shouldn't be a total blowout.

Also, one thing about the Cats under Stoops is that they don't go down quietly.

The problem is that the O line is gonna get Tui killed. The D did play very well but that O line was awful. You just need to hope that Tui does not come up injured after this game.

I think U of A has very little chance but remember that LSU goes to Auburn next week, so they may be looking past this one a bit.

There are growing pains when you're starting three freshman offensive lineman, but I'm more concerned with the run blocking than the pass blocking. A big part of the reason Tuitama was getting knocked around so much was that we could not run and got into a lot of 2nd and 3rd and longs allowing the defense to pin their ears back and go after the QB.

Establishing even a marginal run game can go a long way especially when you're on the road in shortening the game and keeping the crowd out of it not to mention bigger issues like taking pressure off your QB and keeping an explosive LSU offense off the field. Unfortunately I haven't seen much from the RBs to make me think this will be possible against the Tigers.

We can't pound it down the middle because of the freshman lineman and we can't run outside because Henry is just so big. There were some promising signs in the BYU game, but we're talking very few.

The one thing we can hope for is that as the oline keep playing and practicing together, they'll get better. Unfortunately the starting Oline didn't practice much, if at all, together during training camp.

I say Arizona loses a close one. Another defensive struggle as I think UA's defense is one of the best in the Pac. I just think the offense will need to catch up with the defense. But LSU is not a team that they can catch up against. The offense will really need to come together and start clicking after the Stephen F. Austin game.

This one is all about our lines...

If the O line protects Tui and establishes any type of running game we can hang with them.

To win, we have to have the O-line protect and the D-line consistently pressure Russell. No matter how great our secondary is, we can win if we dont put pressure on Russell.

I think LSU pulls this one out 28-17. I hope I am wrong, but our O-line is going to have to play an amazing game for us to win. Our D will keep us in the game, but they cant win this one, its all on Tui and the O-line.

Another humiliation for the Pac 10. UofA played like they pooped their pants out of fright.

The offense sure didn't help them out much though (at halftime 10 of the total 24 LSU points came off of UofA turnovers).

After the BYU game I was very concerned about the running game and now we can't get positive yards for this game. This was a pathetic, absolutely pathetic display of football from the Wildcats. Missed tackles, mental mistakes, etc. Just awful. They were not prepared to play and again Tuitama has a bad game. Granted he was playing one of the better teams in the nation, but there was no fight in the team. The leader is supposed to supply that. They just rolled over and played dead before the game even began.

That was a very entertaining game. I sure did enjoy that one. 48 points by these teams combined! What a shootout.

too bad the u of a doesn't have ASU's schedule.

Do tell? Except for the pay check, why in the world would you go to LSU for your second game.

LSU was using you for a warm up, just like ASU is using Nevada.
