I just want to say 2 things about this game. I am purposely posting this in the ASU forum for a reason.

1) Allow me to be the first one to formally jump on the Joe Alexander bandwagon. This guy is smooth and has a very nice looking shot. He actually didn't play too well tonight but you can just see it in his game. He is going to be very good in the future.

2) If UA looses this game, or whenever they eventually loose, can we as Sun Devil fans take the high road and stay off the UA message board? Let them vent and PLEASE don't start the "see we would have done better blah blah blah" crap. As much as I hate UA, you have to dish out a little respect to get it in return. Can we stay classy? I will, and I hope you join me.

The Valley so low.
Dear Kid, I understand what you're saying, and approve. The world would be a better place if fans from both schools treated each other with respect.

The problem is, they don't deserve respect, and we can't expect respect from [most of] them no matter what we do. You know their donors got on the horn, called in every favor they had, mailed the whole NCAA committee life size pictures of the moribund 'Mr. Divorce' with a tear in his eye, because there's no way a rational committee could choose the 0-2 U of A over the 2-0 ASU. So now the predictable results occur, we win 2 while they go 0-1 again. Even Boateng is starting to play better. Ha Ha Ha! Nyah Nyah Nyah! When even basketball fails them, what's left? Defacing another mountain, I guess.

The nation's falling apart, the world's going to the dogs, and you want us to forgo innocent amusement? But I won't go post on the UA site, or even open it. The stench of depression will be too much.

ASU wasn't getting in even if UA didn't make it. In fact, UA not making the Tourney would've pushed ASU even further from the bubble. That's the reality, apologies if you guys can't comprehend it.

And the Eric Boateng smack is quite amusing. Four fouls and zero points tonight. The Pac-10 is really worried.

He played very well in the first game. I don't remember him even trying a shot last night. His defense and rebounding have improved, which is the main way he needs to contribute.

Joe Alexander is not an NBA player. Kevin Pittsnoggle version 2.0

Do you watch guys ply before making that proclamation? Pittsnoggle and Alexander games arent really very close. Alexander puts the ball ont he floor and drive to the basket, and rebounds. Pittsnoggle was a post up player-either on the block or at the 3pt line-and was looking to catch and shoot.

I dont know whether Alexander's game translates to the NBA or not (although Bobby Knight sure seem to think it would) but he is not a Pittsnoggle clone.

I dunno, but even when he had a bad night against UA, there was no one on that team who could guard him.
