I went to the game and it was great, even though I got soaked. I know it was only Idaho but the offense and defense played very well. Tui and Grigsby were unstoppable and the defense was swarming. They were very quick to the ball.

If the defense can hold teams to 24 and under, I think the Cats can make some noise this year.

Like Lefty said, beating Idaho ain't like beating Ohio St., but 70-0 is pretty darn impressive. Definitely a bowl game in our future methinks.

:cats: :koolaid:

When I saw that we were 27 pt favorites, I was half tempted to bet $100 on Idaho covering the points. I didnt realize how bad this team is!!

When you get beat 70-0, your Div I status should be dropped to Div II....or III....or High School JV

To be fair, it was only Idaho. But it was nice to see them beat the Vandals in this manner considering we did not exactly blow the doors off of comparable schools like NAU and Stephen F. Austin in past seasons.

Exactly, we did not play down to the opponent's level. Toledo should be a better challenge, they have a very good offense.

I was very happy to see that the Cats benched the starters and let a lot of the young guys play in the second half. Scott looks like he is going to be a good one. He reminds me of Keith Smith.

The second year of familiarity in this offense shows already. Stoops took a bold move, for a defensive specialist, in fully embracing this attack style. I really hope it pays off. (I think it will)

Bear down.

UofA is insane if they give up on Stoops. Totally serious.
There, I said it.
I wouldn't call firing a coach that can't succeed in five years "giving up" on him. It's more like cutting dead weight if it reaches that point. Stoops wins this year and he stays, Stoops loses and he's toast and it will be well-deserved.

NAU is a good team for it's division, with 63 schollies. Idaho barely beats crappy FCS teams, with 80+ schollies...
Yeah, NAU is okay for Division 1-AA but they'd be an awful team for Division 1 just like Idaho is. Point remains that comparing victories from the WAC and the Big Sky is laughable.
