Are these two statements related?

Somewhat, the staff supposedly promised him a starting gig when we recruited him and pulling that will ruffle some feathers. He also isn't going to sit the bench for the next three years so I would expect a transfer if he was oulled in favor of Foles.

To recap the trip, Iowa fans were extremely cordial. Nicer than any treatment I've received in any Pac-10 venue or at the SDSU or UNLV games I've attended as an opposing fan. Also nicer than how Arizona fans treat opposition when they come to Tucson.

My guess is Hoover ran into a few bad apples or someone in his group was instigating things.

Perhaps the former, certainly not the latter. I didn't have a 'group' it was me and one friend, whos an Iowa season ticket holder/Hawkeye fan.
