UCF guard Kaitlin Peterson has entered the transfer portal after two seasons with the Knights.
Peterson, a senior, announced her decision on social media on Monday.
“Grateful for the incredible journey as a Knight. Thank you to all the fans for your unwavering support. Your love means the world to me. I want to extend a special thank you to Coach Messer and the UCF coaching staff for believing in me,” Peterson said in a post on X. “Knight Nation, I will always carry you with me. Thank you, UCF, for everything.”
Peterson totaled 1,156 points in 55 games at UCF, with a career average of 21 points per game. She led the Big 12 in scoring last season, averaging 20.7 points per game and was second in the conference (21.4 ppg.) this season.

Before playing at UCF, she spent two seasons at Indiana, averaging 2 points per game in 27 games.
UCF (12-18, 4-14 Big 12) wrapped up its season with an 80-65 loss to Kansas State in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament on March 6. Peterson finished with a team-high 21 points in the loss to the Wildcats.
