I may not get to post that again all year so I figured I'd do it now :D

Typical game for UCLA this year young team very inconsistent. First 8 minutes of the half WSU couldn't stop them, they carved up their zone and forced them to go man, made the first 5 shots. Problem was their defense was just as bad so WSU was getting easy shots and staying close enough.

After WSU went man, UCLA stopped feeding Smith in the post and stopped scoring, WSU had like a 21-5 run and led by as much as 11 and by 8 at the half. UCLA came out hot in the 2nd half and got easy looks inside and hit 4 threes to go up by as many as 13. The last 4-5 minutes or so consisted of WSU fouling and UCLA shooting(and mostly making) ft's. I think UCLA had 7 FT attempts with about 8 minutes left and wound up shooting 28 IIRC.

UW beat USC in OT and UCLA plays UW tomorrow. I don't see UCLA winning, howland is remarkably good in the first game of 2 pac 10 games because of the extra preparation time, but he has only 2 days for UW and I don't think the young Bruins are ready yet but we'll see. If they can play a whole game with the intensity they played the 2nd half they could beat anybody in the conference on any given night.
