I'm watching, I want Liverpool to win just because I enjoy the EPL more than Italian Soccer. So far Liverpool is playing the better soccer.

I am the exact opposite, been a Juve fan for years......since Juve beat both Milan and Inter last year for the Serie A title, I am rooting for Milan for the simple fact that I am going to at least feel like we are/were the best team in the world.

But I do agree that Liverpool has looked better so far this half.

A pretty good game, Liverpool was out playing Milan for long stretches but didn't create very many good scoring chances. Congratulations to Milan.

I still can't tell if the first goal was a "handball." The second was pretty good. Why wouldn't they play Crouch sooner?

Pretty good game even though both teams looked extremely nervous and reckless till the very end.

Why wouldn't they play Crouch sooner?

I was wondering the same thing. He was on the WC squad and he's always looked dangerous to me so I was quite surprised to not see him start, let alone not come in till late in the 2nd. For those of you who follow the English Premiership more closely than I....was there a reason Rafa Benitez didn't start him?

I'm not very smart with the tactical part of soccer, but I know that Benitez is notorious for changing around his squad. Maybe one of the reasons is that he thought playing Gerrard higher up than usual would give Milan some problems. More likely, he just wanted to field a conservative lineup to contain Milan's attack and hope to get a set-piece goal or wonder goal from Gerrard or Riise.

Does anyone have any idea why ESPN doesn't broadcast CL games (especially the final) in HD? I'm sure that the matches are being filmed in HD, so ESPN has to put little to no effort in actually showing them in HD. It drives me crazy that ESPN doesn't show these games in HD, yet NASCAR live and WNBA games are in HD. The fact that the matches are overseas can't mean much, as ABC/ESPN showed many World Cup games in HD.

Sorry, anyone who said that was a good game needs their head examined. It was nearly as bad as the FA Cup final. Liverpool had a lot of the ball but never looked like doing much with it. Milan just looked easy at times.
Also, Crouch is not a good player. I can't stand it when England fans try tto talk about him as the saviour etc. He has a good goal scoring record for England (not a good one at club football though) but look at the teams he scored against. He never gets the goals against a tough team, you think the Germans, Brazilians etc are scared of Crouch? I think not. For somebody his size he should be on the end of every cross put in the box but in reality he is weak in the air.

Thanks, Compa. I don't watch very many EPL games so I wasn't familiar with Liverpool's style or Benitez's line-ups. I only see their highlights every once in awhile......
Whenever they're showing an EPL game, lately it's always been Chelsea vs. somethingorother or Man U vs. someoneelse. I need to buy a satellite dish!
