Looks like it will be Saturday Morning.

Anyone going to watch? Where is the game being played? Perhaps none care but I will be watching. Not sure who I want to win. Perhaps Chelsea.

Actually you are talking about the English FA Cup Final...the UEFA Cup final was won by Sevilla against Espanyol.

Should be a great match.

Oops, I knew that. Goof next to me called it the UEFA.

Sorry.

Is there a mod of this forum to edit?

The game will be played at the new Wembley stadium (which I think took about $1.5 billion to construct) in London. I hope Chelsea takes it--I like Mourinho and Joe Cole.

Does anyone know a place in the East Valley that will showing the FA Cup Final? From what I understand it's a pay-per-view event.

Thanks.

I think Man U takes the match. Chelsea just is too banged up right now...

"Mourinho will be looking to get one over on Alex Ferguson after losing out on the EPL title to his rival. His quest for the cup is however hampered by a host of injuries. Michael Ballack and Ricardo Carvalho are both out, and with doubts over Ashley Cole, John Obi Mikel and Arjen Robben, Chelsea will struggle to name five fit substitutes.

Things are so bad that Mourinho has claimed that he could name third-choice goalkeeper Hilário on the bench as a striker, perhaps mindful that he could be more useful than goal-shy Andriy Shevchenko, who is also out injured."

Any Takers???

Don't count Mourinho out so easily. He likes to play mind games and letting United feel like they have a clear advantage could be part of it. When Sky Sports was asking him about potential for players to be there, he keep saying "zero percent" on everyone until they got to [SIZE=-1]Ricardo Carvalho, to which he respnoded "one percent". Clever fellow.

Either way I'm a Man U fan though and if we get in the rhythm early then there's not doubt it's a double this year.

Still no idea where I can see this match on PPV in the east valley? Even downtown if I have to.

I don't live in the Valley anymore but have you tried George & Dragons on Central? They used to show a lot of the matches and if I recall correctly one of the owners is a huge Chelsea fan. You might want to give them a call and check.

I would be shocked if G&D doesn't have it.

I realize it's a huge match, but this game is at 7am AZ time. That's early for any sports bar. I've checked with G&D and RT O'Sullivans before for other big games that start early, and they always have said "no." But maybe I just happen to talk to staff who have no idea, and maybe tomorrow's different.

I can't imagine all those Chelsea players not suiting up. This is the last game for a while, and it's obviously a big game. I obviously don't know how severe all these injuries are, but I'd be shocked if the situation was so bad that Jose actually picks Hilario for the bench as a striker.

They suck you in then expect you to pay PPV to watch the Final. Either that or sign up for a subscription to Setanta Sports.
Stupid question alert:

What is this game for? Not the premiership right?

No, Manchester United won the Premiership this season.

The FA Cup is the championship of the Football Association, which is the governing body of football, or soccer as we call it. :D

It's kind of like the way the Indiana high school basketball tournament used to be. All the clubs from every division compete in the tournament to try and win the cup.

Unfortunately, it is almost always won by a huge club like Arsenal, Man Utd or Liverpool.

Okay, so not the premiership (sort of division), but all England open sort of thing. Gotcha. Did Roma beat Inter for the Coppa?

A boring game in the end. I hate the scum (man u) with a passion so wanted Chelsea to win by default.
