Very scary scene with Christian Ericksen. Looks like he almost died on the pitch (not exaggerating). Fortunately left conscious and in stable condition.

That was one of the most unpleasant things I have ever seen.

Seems like the tv producers didn’t realize the severity of the situation. I was sure he was Dead when They started on CPR

I morbidly tried to find a video that showed the full CPR, though they just had the highlights. One of those things where you feel crappy about looking for it but you want to see. So, so awful. I'm just glad he's alert and responsive in the hospital. My bet is that it's a congenital heart defect. He could easily have gone the way of my team's former player Chieck Tiote:

I'll be pulling for Erickson to get healthy.

That is so sad about Tiote. I was watching live when it happened today. I don't have the courage to go back and try to watch it again. I thought it was some type of terrible body injury because I did not see the moment that he fell, but then I saw the chest compressions being done. I was very upset and thought that he died with how much they were protecting him from the cameras. but now I see they were just trying to protect his privacy which was the right thing to do. I watched Christian for the last 5 years or so when he was with spurs and he was always one of my favorite players. I'm so happy that he is alive and hopefully will make a recovery with proper treatment moving forward.

He plays for the team I root for, so I know very well the player, he is a great dude and he is a player with amazing technique
Every professional player going through very strictly exams to get a medical pass, but sometimes is almost impossible to find some little congenitive issue
Things like that make u think how fragile Is the life
Now he is out of danger and has been lucky it happened in a football field where the rescue service come in less then a minute
Guess his career is over but he has been lucky to survive
Watching his wife on the field crying was so painful to watch

He was Extremely lucky that it was at a game with 3 sets of doctors on the field and having lived in Copenhagen the stadium share Parking with the biggest hospital in Scandinavia. It is literally 1/3 mile away

Big win by Germany yesterday. a lot of people had written them off. France had a major disappointment against Hungary.

Wow, Denmark advanced in stunning fashion. I'm happy for them.
They Got lucky in the way everything Fell their way, but without doubt the best team to advance with Belgium from the group.

They surprisingly lost the first “must-win” game (Understandable Considering their Best player went into cadiac arrest and was Actually dead for a short time during the game).

They should win against Wales.

Kom så de røde!
