From Darren Urbans article on mini camps....................

-- JONATHAN COOPER HAS A CHANCE TO FULFILL THAT NO. 1 DRAFT PICK STATUS: It is understandable that the guard has his doubters. But for the first time since breaking his leg in the 2013 preseason, Cooper feels whole. More importantly, his play reflects that, and so does the analysis of his coaches. Again, as an offensive lineman, nothing can really be known right now – pads are too important. But Cooper seems to have gotten back to the level where he was at this time of year in 2013, when the Cardinals believed he might be their best offensive lineman. The overall line is better now, but part of that is because of Cooper

okay...no pads, I get it... but this is a pretty strong positive for Cooper

I have a good feeling that Urban is right about this one---------I have heard not one harsh word about Cooper coming from the team in any way this off season. Everything has been positive, (although non-committal and rightfully so from the start). After work began though he received nothing but good comments from the staff and the writers.

If Coop actually plays up to that level, this line has the potential to be the best in the NFL. That's really saying something considering where we've been... uh, my entire 28 years on this earth.

I agree with this.

I can't agree about saying Cooper is back because he hasn't arrived yet.

He is going into his third year.He has worked hard to get this far. IMO he was a good pick and now it appears he is ready. Imagine what the line looks like with a few first founders upfront. We are going to find out if we have running backs this season. This line should open some running lanes. Exciting times are a coming.

Just food for thought-----------those who believed BA and the staff when they said that Cooper was not the same after his injury--and that he needed to prove himself to them before he could even be talked about as being in the mix for Guard----should at least give the same credibility to those same coaches and writers now who are saying that Cooper is back to his original form and is definitely in the mix again. These are the very same people who were so high on him right up to the instant of his injury---and were so disappointed with him after his recovery when he failed to return to the form that he had in his first TC. If they now say that he is back to form, then I believe them without question. These people have built a track record to stand on and should not have to be second guessed at every juncture along the way. Just sayin'------------

none of the coaches have said he's back to his original form... only Urban, who only has a track record of shining a light on the darkest of Cards matters at all times. So, if people want to second guess HIM, they have more then every justification for doing so. just sayin'---------

I love BA's candor thus far on Coop. I truly do. Actually on any player in camp. As much as I hate Chip Kelly's smugness, our coach just has a way of doing it where he's not trying to appear as the smartest man in the room, just a coach being 100% truthful.

If Cooper is healthy it would be huge for the Oline to finally have solid players at all positions at the same time. Would open up so many options for the offense.

Can't wait until TC and find out how he looks after being hit and having to make adjustments in his assignments. Some of what BA was criticizing Cooper about was the mental part of the game.

To me Coop is in the same area as Troy Nikolas. They have a ton to prove before I give them praise. But I'm rooting for them to do it.

You are wrong about the cheesey one-------BA himself praised him and his performance in TC-----I saw the video

I guess there are worse things you could hear coming out of mini camp. He was sluggish at this point last year, and right now, there is a heavy microscope on him based on his draft spot and lack of availability over first two seasons.

We shall see.

I think ""optimistic"" this off-season is what I'm feeling towards Coop .
The 2014 off-season , I was feeling ""disappointed"" towards Coop .
It's all about the preparation time and effort he has put in this off-season as opposed to the LACK of preparation time and effort he applied to the 2014 off-season . GO GETTEM COOP .
