So no trade takers.

Also Suns tried to trade Chriss last draft with no trade takers.

This shows we tend to over value our own players, nobody wants stink PHX players LOL

I don't think anyone believed Ulis had any trade value. Maybe as a throw in to help make salaries match but I don't recall seeing anyone here even hype him as a backup for next season. Knight's return virtually ensured he'd be a 3rd string player who would need to earn that role in the Summer League or Training Camp. I actually wouldn't be shocked if he's invited to the Summer League team if he doesn't sign elsewhere. He may even get a training camp invite. However the odds for him making the team are very slim. Chriss isn't even hyped very much here so I'm not sure who you think is overrating our players. We may value Booker, Jackson, and Ayton more than anyone else but there is good reason for that, IMO.

Dude I saw Chiss name involved in tons of Doncic trade rumors and draft trade ups. I am not gonna go scour the archives to show you and the Suns thought enough of Ulis to move his date back, he's not complete garbage. you seem to be the guy who just wants to disagree LOL.

I'm not looking to argue but you've tried putting down posters here multiple times now between your comments here and in the other thread about how the Suns might be able to get Ball while sending out nothing in exchange. I'm not just going to sit back while someone makes claims about users on this board that aren't based in reality. If you're going to make those comments then be prepared to be called on them. That's how debating things works. You can't just throw out accusations without any evidence and then deny to provide examples when asked. If you don't feel like backing them up then don't make the claims.

Ulis was never included in any trade offers as anything other than salary. The Suns pushing back his guaranteed date doesn't mean much of anything. The Suns doing that doesn't prove that posters here overvalue players in any way whatsoever. I'm not even sure why you're mentioning that because there's no relation between the Suns waiving him and how people here viewed his value. I don't think many people here even thought he stood a good chance of making next years team.

Chriss hasn't been valued much by anyone here in quite some time. I don't recall anyone saying he'd be in the main piece in a trade for Doncic or even a valuable piece of a deal to move up in the draft. If he was included in any trade scenarios to move up then it was as the 3rd or 4th asset, if that, but it was acknowledged his value wasn't very high and his inclusion shouldn't make or break a trade. I don't think that's overvaluing him since he was treated as a throw in, if at all. Most acknowledge he has no trade value and is probably more valuable to us than in a trade since we used a top 10 pick to acquire him and have him locked in cheap for 2 more years.

Chriss value is quite low, Ulis is non existent.

The reason is obvious, they are very flawed players.

Chriss is going to have to be a throw in, I doubt anyone is anxious to add him. Ulis is free agent quality. We are one of the weakest teams in the league at PG and we don't want him, of course his value is low.

I still feel like Bender is worth hanging onto, but if he doesn't show anything again this season patience on him may be gone.

I'm probably one of the few but I was hoping the Suns could somehow hold onto Ulis.

It looks like the Suns have plans to add a PG that can start.

That was the plan regardless of Ulis. Not sure why you seem so enamoured with him.

Ulis will likely never be a starter... probably a third PG at best but I don't see the Suns having better PG candidates going deep into their roster.

Hahahaha not in the slightest, just because I dish it out a little back, When people here are clearly being rude and condescending in a response, I've never set out to be rude, I only responded in the same fashion as I had been spoken too. I am not putting down posters, so hold your horses and let's not go on going back and forth responding.

Here's a Bordow interview discussing the Ball for nothing trade, it's not a figment of my imaganation and by the way he is for it.

I read every post people drop here so all I was stating is Chriss's value is lower than some expected. So you can jump on here and feel attacked and accuse me of making things up and being rude, But by the tone of your post, it seems clearly the other way and just because we have a difference of opionion, no need to get all worked up.

I was mainly trying to point out Chriss was attempted to be traded during the draft with no takers and Ulis was shopped with no takers. I was pointing out us posters (myself included) and the Suns front office valued both players more than the league seems to value them. Chriss was mentioned in numerous trade up scenarios with the 16, if we were expecting to jump up to 8, with Chriss, 16 and a future pick, it's obvious as a fan of the team we value players a little more for playing on our team. When I read my post above, it's obviously not an attempt to put down posters, plus no thanks I am not going to be assigned the enormous task of reading and quoting every possible trade put involving Chriss, just because you don't agree and want me too Lol

Well they have Knight and Harrison who are currently better and they are likely bringing one in via trade or free agency. Therefor they will likely have three on the roster that are all better than Ulis.

Knight is on the Suns roster but it is debatable that he is a better PG than Ulis. He will have to prove otherwise in my book.

Harrison plays solid defense but he may not be able to run the team better that Ulis. However, I hope the Suns keep him for a minimal salary.

The Suns presently do not have much veteran experience at PG.

Knight is not a better PG than Ulis which was well established year before last. If Knight has seen the light he may be somewhat better but that remains to be seen - I'd bet against it. Harrison is the only one of three who can defend, and we are desperately in need of defense in the backcourt. You forgot to mention Okobo who also remains to be seen but at least Igor likes him well enough to draft him over a slew of candidates. He has the tools to defend, so we'll see. He and Harrison both have the size to allow us switch almost everything, which is of considerable value. Man, if Igor can make a shooter out of Harrison and get Okobo to defend, our PG slot will go from a mess to a strength - without bringing anyone else on board. I'm hoping we don't rush to add someone, but I expect McD to do just that - VanVleet might be a Sun tomorrow. He adds to our strength but I think the money is better spent at PF.

This hasn't been posted here, hopefully there is nothing to it but someone was bashing Ulis on Instagram after he was waived and Booker ended up saying something. Like I said, could be nothing and probably is nothing but it's worth mentioning before someone tries blowing it out of proportion. It was getting some traction on Reddit already. The guy talking trash had clearly gone too far and Booker was just being a friend, IMO, and wasn't going to sit back and witness someone trashing his friend like that, especially regarding the day he got waived by an NBA team. I don't see Booker as the being the type to hold a grudge towards the team with this move though, at least I really hope he isn't like that.

It's certainly not a feel good moment. I hope the Suns know what they are doing. Ulis didn't cost that much.

They can re-sign him on a minimum deal as teams can exceed the cap siging minimum deals.

And If there is no trade, are all we all forgwtting the trash that is Brandon Knight. He literally is the worst player in the NBA, he effectively makes everyone around him worth less, while on the floor. The Suns have a 2nd Rd PG behind Knight. This will be a disaster if this isn't fixed and a PG added to this roster

Misuse of the word literally? He absolutely is not “literally” the worst player in the league.
