Since we're going with the good movie interpretation of popcorn flick instead of the silly/corny version, pull off Cable Guy and put in Night of the Living Dead (the original).

Cable Guy was already replaced by Young Frankenstein (per ozzfloyd).

Please pick another film to remove.

Saving Private Ryan is hardly a popcorn flick, at least the way I think of the term, and Lethal Weapon (I) is a definite must. But so is Terminator I. (Although I was very tempted to pull This is Spinal Tap -- boring flick - for Major League.)

Lethal Weapon 1 in for Saving Private Ryan then?

That list of movies that didn't make the cut is pretty impressive.

I think that you need to go back to 'guy's movies' because I don't consider almost half of those movies popcorn flicks.

+10000

The Usual Suspects?
Better Off Dead?
American Psycho?
Spinal Tap?
Waterboy?

I think some people need to revisit their definition of popcorn movies, because there are several there that are nothing close to being a popcorn movie.

I don't really need to revisit my definition of a popcorn movie. I think that's the problem here--everyone has a different definition. To me, it's just a fun, brainless movie you can chomp popcorn to.

IMO, Better Off Dead is the perfect representation of that.
