When a team runs up the score on you, goes for 2 to get 56 points and attempts to paralyze your best player you have an obligation to pull someones helmet off and knock their teeth down their throat.

This is the most classless team in the NFL

As much as I hate fights in sports, they should have started a brawl.

Well, maybe not, since they'd be suspended for the next game, but something. I think they were all just as worried as we were.

I know emotions are high right now, but I don't think the attempt was to paralyze Quan. The intention might have been to knock his block off, but I don't think the Jets hoped they could end his season or career with that hit.

Are you saying that the Cards should have gone after the Jets players after the game? If so, I think that would make US classless.

Very frustrating game, flashes of past Cards teams, and not much of anything to feel good about.

Starting a brawl at the end of the Game??????

I have zero issues with the Jets scoring as much as they could because the Cards were scoring at will in the 2nd half.

I thought the Jets players and fans all showed a ton of class when Q got hurt.

Damn skippy. We should be beating their damn brains in. No Jet fan should be taking any pride in their team. I was watching the game with one at the bar and he was as disgusted if not more than me by what his team did.

Was it a bad hit? Yes. Was it an attempt to paralyze him? No way. I don't have a problem with the Jets player. The Cardinals shouldn't either. It happens in football.

I dont buy that abit. Regular hits by a grown man running full speed into another going the opposite way will knock anyone's block off. To purposely go for the head like that cornholio obviously did is flat out CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!

It is what it is. To let one of your brothers go down like that and do nothing is ballless and pathetic. There is nothing dirty about sticking up for your own IMO.

I absolutely agree with you. No pride at all. Someone should have knocked the crap out of that ego maniac Favre. Bad enough throwing long on 4th down but then going for 2 and laughing on the sideline. At least go down fighting....

Watch the language per the rules of the site.

I'm not defending the guy. I'm saying that I don't think his intent was to paralyze Quan, per what Tim originally posted.

I don't think it is ballless or pathetic, and I did not call it dirty.

We should have done just that and then taken the suspensions and hurt your team by not being able to play in a few games for the rest of the season.

I understand emotions are high. But the best way to show Boldin you care is to win some games and get to the playoffs and hope that Boldin is able to be able to play in some playoff games. I think Boldin would want that far more.

If this was out on the playground then different story.

i question if any of you hollering for blood ever played football. was it an unfortunate shot? yeah. was it meant to be dirty? no. sometimes blows to the head happen, it's a violent sport. sometimes unfortunate plays happen. when you play defense it's your "touchdown" when you get to pulverize a ballcarrier or widereceiver, so when you get the chance, you go for it. there was no "intent to injure" on that play. i hope quan is okay, but i'm glad out team acted as professionals and didn't get in a brawl. that would have served no purpose but to make us punks.

look, we sucked today. plain and simple. to an epic degree. this was a loss worthy of the coach mac days. we're simply not as good as we all wanted to believe after beating two crappy teams to start the season. but that's no reason to endorse going thug.

I just wanted to see something.......I'm usually not like this, but even some pushing or something. But overall, they were just as scared as we were I think.

Be the bigger person..err team and move on. You say that they are classless, well ok, than why the hell would you lower yourself to their level in an attempt to hurt one of their players as well? Unless you want to be called classless as well...

i have no problem with the 4th down pass or the 2 point conversion. My response is,if you don't like it, stop them.

Ditto.

Also the hit was illegal but I don't think he did it to intentionally hurt someone. On a side note if Adrian Wilson had made that hit it would have been a personal foul without a doubt.

Stop cryin'. You're acting like a bunch of babies. This is PROFESSIONAL football--the jets have no obligation NOT to run up the score (especially when their opponent is threatening to hang 40 on them in the second half) and big hits happen all the time; so do injuries.

The Jets scored on the Cardinal because the Cardinals let them. Boldin got urt on a technically illegal play, but no different than a dozen or so hits around the NFL every week; in fact, it's a play reminiscent of our own Adrian Wilson. No one tried to injure him, they just tried to hit him as hard as they could. If you're looking for someone to blame, blame the coach for having hi in the game 3 scores down and 1 minute on the clock.

Players do not try to paralyze other players. If one was down there at game speed the defensive guy was likely acting on instinct alone with no thought other than to break up the pass. I think there should have been a flag on the play. Why not?

He didn't try to paralyze him. If you watch the replay, Q was hit from behind by another Jets player right as the Jets player in front of him was going for the hit. There's no way he could have anticipated the other Jet player hitting him and timed it perfectly to go after Q's head.

Should it have been a penalty? Yes. It was a mistake to lead with his helmet and he should be punished. But there's no way he was trying to paralyze him.

There will be fines and suspensions. When a DB runs 15 yards and launches himself into the helmet of another player, that's reckless and illegal. Refs should have ejected him and given Cards the ball on the one. I've watched it a dozen times and get angrier each time I see it.

There's no such thing as running up the score. If you can't stop the other team, you have no business complaining about it (or starting a fight over it). I felt this way when NE was winning 52-7. It's doubly true when your opponent has scored 5 TDs in the second half.
