Has Artet opted out? Hoopshype has him on the last year of his contract.

Trading Diaw for Arest is something of a player rental and salary dump of the last four years of Diaw's contract. Getting Diaw off the books would reduce the Suns salaries for 2010 to about $48 million when they begin to rebuild. But if they re-sign Artest the situation would be to put the team close to the cap line at minimum.

I'm not sure the Kings would want Diaw's contract without extra stuff. Right now he appears to as much an expiring contract as anything else.
