Sunday the UofA baseball team beat host ASU 16-7, tonight the Cats beat the Devils 18-1 to take the season series 4 games to one.

Andy Lopez has really turned the program around. I wonder how ASU fans feel about Murphy now?

Yeah, I could care less either. I was just bored and felt like piling on (God knows most of the ASU contigency would have been out and about had the outcome differed). Metals bats suck and I likely won't waste my time watching that horrid brand of baseball unless the Cats make the CWS.

Yeah, one thing I've noticed (not mentioning anyone in particular) is that U of A fans in general are just obsessed with ASU. I was down in Tucson for graduation, and pretty much every speaker stuttered through some lame and barely coherent attack of ASU. When I had my ASU shirt on, everyone freaked out. It just seems like ASU people don't care much about U of A, (unless there is a football or basketball game), yet U of A people are always talking crap about ASU. Just my observation.

Tucson is a sh*thole, but I moved to Tucson from Scottsdale to get a quality education, and I wasnt gonna get that at ASU elementary

Have you read any ASU message boards? Or this board for that matter? The resident ASU homers celebrate Arizona football and basketball losses like it's the Fourth of July. The dislike definitely goes both ways, but I find the people that are obsessive over the rivalry are more into Tucson vs. Phoenix aspect of the rivalry than University of Arizona vs. Arizona State University.

Nope, don't frequent the ASU message boards, I was referring to the general population, not the die hards. Of course they have stronger feelings than the average fan. I am comparing the average fans. I do agree with you on the Tucson vs. Phoenix rivalry too, although most U of A fans I know live here, which says a lot.
