Thanks Cats for helping bring a swift end to the Dennis Erickson era. This is the best I've ever felt after a loss to UA because I know there's no way Erickson can survive a 7-5/6-6 year, hooray! I want him fired Monday, but Im sure LL will wait until the end of the year.

Kind of how we feel about this season. Our biggest victory was giving Stoops the axe.

I didnt lie..

You sure didn't. What a great way to end the season, especially since it was a lousy one. Next year all these freshmen and sophomores who played will be better. Hopefully Bellotti will be able to keep the recruiting class. He has Ka'Deem for three more years and Scott as his qb next year. Bear Down Cats!!!

Honestly, I was more upset last week. This loss was so unsurprising that it's hard to get angry.

I hope DE is gone by Monday for 2 reasons:

- Get started on the coaching search
- The fans can just root for a win against Cal and not feel like they have to send a message by booing or whatever else the whole game

Agreed 100%. Love fired Koetter after he beat UA and put up better records than Erickson, there's no way she can keep Erickson at this point. I'll be livid if he's not gone by Monday.

Yep, after the loss to UCLA, excitement diminished significantly. After WSU, completely. It was kind of amusing watching them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again. Thank God the DE era is over...he had no future here, and I'm so tired of the undisciplined BS. Worst tackling game I can ever remember, just pathetic.

So if Erickson is fired tomorrow, which I hope is the case, I wonder what happens with Gregg Smith. He's DE's best buddy or whatever, I kinda imagine he'd just resign right away. What would ASU do for the O Line Coaching position for the Cal game, possible P12 Title Game & Bowl Game? Does Taylor Mazzone take over that job? Is it done by Committee? Would they ask someone like Roque to come in and do it on an Interim basis as a try out kinda thing?

I never like seeing us lose to the Cats but this is a strange year. For the first time that I can remember, I really didn't care very much who won this game. Had we pulled it out, I would have been only slightly less bummed than I am by our loss. The progression for this season (for me) has gone from high expectations (before the injuries) to high hopes then to disappointment which soon turned to disgust and finally ended up in the land of apathy.

Injuries certainly contributed to our demise but watching this team has convinced me that even healthy we would have found some way to blow a couple of these games anyway. Lack of preparation, lack of passion and a lack of intelligence seem to be trademarks of the Dennis Erickson era.

So many people seem to have forgotten that this was a rivalry game and so season statistics and success mean nothing. It will always be anyone's game unless one team is D-II and the other is #1 in the country.

I don't care about the statistics. What I do care about is that they weren't ready to play for the 3rd straight week.

Bo Moos said this after the game:

"I think we just kinda hit the point in the season where we thought we'd arrived and we lost hunger."

How don't you have hunger after losing 2 in a row and playing against your rival? Coaches obviously didn't have them focused at all. It's inexcusable.

This.

Winning the Pac 12 South was not enough motivation? The team looks like it is just going through the motions. Something is terribly wrong when a team can't get up for three big games in a row.

Normally, at this point in the season, I can at least look forward to baseball season starting.

ERickson has no business still being the coach.

Agreed. It seems like the team quit on him. I also think the team takes on the demeanor of its coach. Erickson has no fire in his belly. Maybe he used to, I don't know. But the guy just looks like he doesn't give an F.
