The Oklahoma City Thunder have clinched the first seed. Not surprising considering they've held a double-digit game lead in the standings for most of the season.

The Thunder inch closer to history with a 132-111 win over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had an efficient 33 points. They're now 27-1 against the East with their sole loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers in early January. They're close to breaking the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors 27-3 record against the opposing conference.

Only two weeks remain in the 2024-25 regular season. Even though the Thunder aren't involved, plenty of heated races for seeding have ramped up as the margin for error gets thinner. Thunder Wire will conduct daily updates on the West's standings until the season ends:

What happened last night?

Magic 121, Kings 91: This was a bad loss for a team with postseason aspirations. It was painfully obvious where this was heading after the first quarter. Sacramento struggled to score and couldn't even crack triple-digit points. A lot of bad vibes there.

Mavericks 120, Bulls 119: The red-hot Bulls ran out of time as their late charge forced the Mavericks to sweat out a necessary win. Despite injuries and trades ruining their season, Dallas remains in the play-in tournament picture. Anthony Davis has yet to lose a game with his new squad. He had 18 points and seven rebounds.

Lakers 134, Grizzlies 127: After the shocking firing of Taylor Jenkins, the Grizzlies couldn't leverage his dismissal on the court. They lost another close contest to a fellow West contender. Ja Morant had 22 points on 9-of-23 shooting. Meanwhile, the Lakers' trio of LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves combined for 85 points.

Thunder 132, Pacers 111: It was a close game until it wasn't. That's been the Thunder's game script all season. This was the latest rerun of that. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 33 points. OKC now moves to 27-1 against the East.
