AND - the Cards made an offer to Emmitt Smith.

Are you sure it wasn't that Bush gave Smith a 48 hour ultimatium to sign with Arizona, and the Cards made an offer to Saddam?

Dang!

Hello, Mr. Saddam, Sir?

My name is Pat Tillman, and Mr. Bidwill was wondering if you'd prefer a lifetime deal at either Leavenworth, Alcatraz or Marion? (Sorry, Mr. Bidwill doesn't give voidables).

The alternative? Well, heh heh heh...

Somebody should send a Cards scout to Iraq. Reportedly, Iraqi soldiers are running the 40 yards dash away from the border. While they are not laser timed, reports are they are in fact running the 40 in about 4.19 secs. Think any of them can run an out route.

In another somewhat related story, Iraqi weapons are for sale on EBay. Never fired and only dropped once.

early in the first quarter...

... the US team has advanced across the scrimmage line. The Iraqi teams defense apppears to be no match for the US offense. The score is currently 74-0, and many say that the Iraqi team will be lucky to post a field goal in this contest.
The US has to be wary of the wily veteran quarterback of the Iraqi team - it's said that he's very elusive, and is sure to have a dirty trick or two up his sleeve. We'll be back at half time with an injury report on any unfortunate Iraqi spectators...
Also of concern will be the post game, which is sure to be much longer than the actual contest...
(that's the impression I get from TV coverage)

i appreciate...

.. the fact that Cardinals fans have a wide range of social/political/religious beliefs. We can all be together on Sundays during the season.
A lot of non football fans have a picture of violence loving lowbrows - it's just not true.
That last sentence is not a jab at those who are pro war against Iraq - I disagree with that, but I know you are intelligent....

Stadiums are monuments. No building houses a more diverse cross section of a given populace. They are the modern day town hall. This board is just an extension. It's a beautiful thing.
